In a Gold team (which means, no tutored moves and no Extremespeed) what's the best moveset for Dragonite?
I'm thinking of Outrage and Hyperbeam but I don't know about the rest.
Opinions?

Dragonite @ Miracleberry
Outrage
Wing Attack
Fire Punch or Thunderbolt (RBY TM 24)
Rest
Pretty standard, but works good, Miracleberry will cure Confusion (from Outrage), or Rest, you could also try Dragonbreath instead of Outrage.
I would of suggested Flamethrower instead of Fire Punch, but I think it can only learn through Crystal.

Outrage
Fire Punch (For those pesky ice types)

Well, In Crystal my is like this:
Dragonite @ Dragon Fang
Extremespeed
Twister
Surf
Wing Attack
For Gold, You should definately have Outrage, Maybe a good Flying move (shark it Aeroblast or Sky Attack.) Maybe Surf and Flamethrower/Fire Punch.
Anyway, doesn't the Bitter Berry cure confusion?
YAY! 100th Post

Thanks.
Ok, how about...
@Bitter Berry
Outrage
Hyper Beam
Thunder Punch
Sky Attack
Outrage to get STAB and to fight other Dragon types, and the rest for a very nice attack/special attack.
Bitter Berry cures confusion, but Miracle Berry (correct me if I'm wrong) cures all status aliments.

Normally, lots of my friends use Dragonite as a Special Sweeper.
One of my friends goes...
Thunder
Flamethrower (Or Fire Blast, I can't remember)
Ice Punch
And one Random skill, cannot remmeber either
He usually devastates, but I am not sure what you would think of it...

Darn, no Extremespeed . . .
I always liked:

Dragonite @ Leftovers
~Dragonbreath
~Steel Wing
~Return
~Attract

You can pawn quite a bit with this.

How the heck did you hit anybody? The accuracy of all of those moves stink.
Anyway, here's my set which simply kicks glutes:
+Special Attack
Ice Beam
Flamethrower
Thunderbolt
Eathquake
How can you hurt him? Ice Beam and Flamethrower take out his only weaknesses, and the other attacks are pure power.

This thread is old - don't go reviving it since the discussion is pretty much over. Anyway, any movesets can be requested or rated at the GSC Rating Center: http://dynamic3.gamespy.com/~psypoke/fo ... .php?t=933
