Dewgong is also goddamn awesome. She's aesthetically pleasing, has a stupid grin and kills things fast.
Seel, on the other hand, looks like the Down Syndrome tiger. ):

It's a bitch to catch. It's irritating to fight and annoying to use. It's also fugly.
Enough justification?
It looks like somebody doesn't have the money to spare a quickball...

Right, because goldenquagsire obviously wasn't referring to Chansey's ridiculous encounter rate.

Before DP, in the GBA Generation, I pitied the poor souls catching Chansey in the Safari Zone, especially those looking for her Lucky Eggs. I truly couldn't be stuffed there. Other than that, Chansey is pretty cute. Some would argue that it was worth the hours toiled to obtain her?
Anyway, I'd have to say Wailord > Chansey, even though they were ranked pretty close in mine. The big dumb monstrous whale over the pink happy trademark Nurse Joy pokemon. That's my opinion.
Besides, I think I like them both pretty equally.

Apparently people like him...for some reason. I never really understood why, Chansey was one of the most frustrating Pokemon to obtain in the first three generations. In Generation I it wasn't so bad because you could find Chansey in the final dungeon, but if you didn't know it was there you had to go to the Safari Zone (and RBY safari zone was epic fail.) In GSC, god, that was the worst generation for Chansey. It got a retarded evolution which was hard as to obtain because you had to get Chansey first (with its nearly non existent encounter rate.) In FR/LG, they removed Chansey from the final dungeon for some **** reason --; but the Safari Zone wasn't as bad as RBY. However, if you want a Lucky Egg, good **** luck!
This is pretty much the reason I can't stand Chansey, besides Pokemon Stadium whoring it.

See Krisp's post.
In addition to Chansey's ridiculous encounter and capture rates, there's another major gripe I have with her. Blissey and Chansey may be extremely useful in competitive battling (or they used to be in RSE, dunno about DP). However, in-game strategy pretty much relies around dealing lots and lots of damage very quickly. Defensive tactics and complex strategies are fairly pointless because the AI is stupid (and enemies are often underpowered anyway). Something like Blissey, which is almost entirely defence-focused as opposed to attack-focused, is thus rather irritating to use.

Which is why I'll get my Blissey to learn Follow Me.
I don't know how, since it CAN'T learn that move, but I'll find a way.
