I have some questions about pick up in LeafGreen:

Like Emerald, do you need a certain level to pick up certain items?
Can a Pokemon pick up something while it has an item, thus moving
the item to the bag?
Can you pick up items after only trainer battles or wild Pokemon battles too?
Does the game tell you when your pokemon picked up an item?

1. No. In FRLG, you can pick up the same items for every level.

2. No. Even if the Pokemon has an Item that it's holding that it didn't pick up, it won't pick up any more until the Item is removed.

3. Both.

4. No; you have to check manually.
