Yes, just thinking the same thing, it doesn't resemble Jynx at all. The 'nosepass evolution' looks like it could fit, and hopefully it'll be good in-game...
As for that sphinx thing, i personally think it's hideous just like the sarcophagus. It's just not that appealing to me.

That does look like a better evolution than Probopass.

We were kinda on topic anyway...Talking about new pokemon and their look-a-likes...(the conversation isn't just focused on the single pokemonn...)~
But, i'd have to say it's on the top...those yellow things resemble eyes on the 'top rock' of the pokemon

i would much rather think of all those being separate evolutions to be honest.

I totally don't see Dusclops as a mummy.
I can see "bandages" and such, but I Never thought of it as one.
Not really sure what it is, but I don't think it's a mummy.

i would love to see that thing be an alternate evo of nosepass, cause probopass sucks, and i hate it. its hideous and stupid, WHEN DO POKEMON HAVE MOUSTACHES!? anyways, it looks like nosepass just kinda multiplied and it's bodies formed together in a horse like shape, cause all those claws and armory things look like noses to me.
And the sarcophagus, although pretty alike Spiritomb, i don't think will be a pre-evo or whatever. thats stupid. like that one guy said, it's probably a ground ghost. cause sarcophaguses are in tombs, in the desert where it's all sandy? and there is a desert area in the game. sooo.
And the only lady is no way an evolution of Jynx. thats just plain stupid because 1: she looks nothing like Jynx, shes just a humanoid girl. oh dang. and 2: Shes pure psychic. Speaking of her, they said her and that green floating skeleton bear with the jelly stuff around it is a version exclusive along with her. meaning its either you get the gummy bear, or retarded hooker. i say floating gummy bear

I hated Probopass, too, until I thought of it as a Wario-inspired Pokemon.
Now it's just hilarious, and I chuckle every time I see it.
And I Highly doubt the rock monster thing is remotely related to Nosepass.
Why? Because those look like gems. It's probably more likely to be related to Chromastone (one of Ben 10's aliens).
Not to mention it's on all fours.
Spiritomb has a unique story. One that pretty much limits it to having NO evolutions and prevos.
That fact aside, why would a sarcophagus evolve into a rock that binds spirits?
I didn't read this, but whoever came up with it needs to redirect their creativity.
Gummy bear? Heck no. Ever since Frost called the chick a Lolita Kirlia, I've been all up in her shizz.

pfft, whatever. i guess we'll have to wait until the rest of the version exclusives are released. which may not be for a while. but the japanese release date is nearing and once it comes out we will know but then we're gonna be wanting to know all the american names for them.

Wrapped by bandages all over, arms forward in an old-fashioned/stereotyped mummy....

Agreed.
The only things tying him to mummy status are his position and the lines/texture (not bandages) he's covered in.

I once read somewhere that dusklops is based on a lantern ghost from Japanese folklore here is the wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C5%8Dchinobake

i always thought that the pokemon's name gave you a clue to what it was. Dus-clops, should be a cyclops. But then, that's not always true. Linoone's a badger with racoon in the name, and Salamence is a dragon named after salamanders.
