Surfing Pikachu is available after 9500+ steps.
Flying Pikachu is available after 10,000+ steps.


I feel it should be noted Zapdos is only available after you get all 16 badges (and beat Red, I think...maybe it's just the badges)

i have so many level 100 pokemon i want off then for heart gold
all the legendary pokemon i have on those just sitting there getting dusty

why is it that at the pokeathlon dome, the dragon scale is never there. i went every Wednesday and still no dragon scale!!! help me.

Easyer ways to get a Dragon Scale:

1. Catch a Dratini or Dragonair in the Dragon's Den and hope its holding one

2. Find the one inside Mt. Mortar once you can use Rock Climb

Okay...welp;

1. Because either it's only sold there after the National Dex is obtained...
2. Because it probably isn't sold there on that day of the week...
3. How about going there everyday of the week & if no luck, no luck...

You have to get all 16 Badges to obtain the rights to use Rock Climb as a field move...in other words, you need to beat Blue which you can't challenge in the remakes (HGSS) until you already have faced all 15 other Gyms...meh...



& here's some wth info for ya...you cannot obtain both of them on the same stroll due to them both being a part of Group A meaning that everytime your pokemon goes for a stroll in the Yellow Forest, only one of them is selected to be able to be encountered during that stroll...their encounter rates are also based on the other Pikachu that are selected from Group B & C to be encountered during the stroll...good luck finding one even after said amount of steps cause it's not the best encounter rate in the world...meh...

I recommend catching tons of Horsea until one's holding a Dragon Scale. It's holding one 5% of the time.
Surfing in B2 of Whirl Islands (outside Lugia's room), there's only a 30% chance you WON'T encounter a Horsea/Seadra,
and Quick Balls will work on (mostly) all Horsea and about half of the Seadra.
Plus, this way, you can raise a Kingdra with the best Nature/IV's, since you'll have so many to choose from!

Otherwise, maybe try seeing if someone will trade you a Dragon Scale held by a piece vendor trash in the trading thread,
because I assume you want to raise your own rather than receive one someone else raised.

if you beat the e4 many times does it have bad side effects
i am tired of taking a dive at lance every time
in crystal i beat then 7 times
and when i went up to look at the hall a fame said it was corrupt
and the game would not save right sometimes
had to trade all my pokemon to a new crystal

I don't remember that bug...
But either way, any glitches like that will have been completely taken care of, as this game is on a new system.

In DPPt, you HAVE to beat the E4 tons of times to unlock some stuff endgame,
and seeing as how these remakes are run on the same system format as Gen IV,
I think you'll be fine.

I think it's 3% on one and 2% on the other, I don't remember witch one's surfing and what one's flying. It's really hard to get.
