I'm going to chose Chikorita. Why? Because he was my starter in Crystal and I just want the Nostalgia of having Chikorita again (in Crystal, he grew to a Level 100 Meganium.) I'll give him a wide array of moves so he can fend off his weakness too. The reason I'm referring to Chikorita as a 'he' is because my one in Crystal was a he. I also like Chikorita for the fact that he is very cute.

I'm choosing , my brother is selecting , and we're both tormenting .
As in, I'm getting SS, my brother is getting SS, and we're sharing HG for exclusives.

I'm not sure which one I'll choose. All three of the Johto starters are adorable.

This is such a tough decision. Gold and Silver were the only games where I loved all of the starters. The starters in the other games just didn't wow me as much and there was usually only one I liked (if even that).
I think it's going to have to be -- the final Meganium is just so cute. Very close second is because I adore weasels (and otters), but I always go for the fire starter and I want to do something a little different. Finally, it'll be . I'm going to need to buy SS and HG for myself -- one to store my Pokemon on, the other to keep restarting to collect everything.
I can't wait for this game.

I think this will be my first game not picking a water type. I plan to beat the game with choice scarf typhlosion that has eruption.

I'm going to have to go with . For the sole reason that I need an awesome Grass Pokemon on my fighting team.

Same as I. All the Johto starters are really adorable.
Especially I must say that Chikorita is one of the few Grass-type Pokemon that I really like. Grass is one of my least favorite Pokemon type but Chikorita is really cute!!
I think I will choose Cyndaquil though.

I'll probably pick either Totodile or Cyndaquil. I usually picked Cyndaquil but I would also like to have Totodile now that I can teach it waterfall. They're two of my favorite starters, so I could go with either one.

As soon as possible, I'll trade whatever starter I choose via "ennie meenie minie moe" for a super- I breed in Pearl.
Starters make me sad because I don't feel special. :O

Totally. Feraligatr's a stud but there are Water types that are cooler (RSE had the same problem).
Typhlosion is a beast. Meganium is awesome. Feraligatr is white noise.

I'm going Totodile. It's ridiculously cute, and you can't deny Feraligatr's base 105 (?) Attack. But really, I'm using Totodile because I used it all the time back in Crystal and raised it to lv100.

I always choose fire.
Grass is the weakest type...ever...(ok, just my least favorite)
Water pokemon are everywhere and tododile is not very good for a water pokemon
Fire pokemon are usually pretty hard to find. In G/S you really only have Entei, Slugmu, and MAYBE Ponyta (I forget). I'm sure I'm forgetting someone.
But fire is the way to go. Also, Typhlosion can lean thunder punch.
