Would you be interested in a breeder tournament?
Rules
1.]lvl 5 max
2.]pokemon must be lowest evelutionary stage
3.]pokemon must have a higher evl. stage
[up to debate, post if and why you are against it]
4.]no similar items
5.]no similar pokemon
6.]OHKO, and set damage moves are not allowed
7.]though it goes without saying... NO HACKS
Q&A
Edgat wrote: Fairly sure you would be doing the OHKO clause, but as a note some pokemon can have moves like Dragon Rage (ex: Bagon egg move) That always hits for 40 dmg and no poke can have 40+ hp at lvl 1 and doubtful many if any even at lvl 5.
Added OHKO and fixed damage clause (#6)
poke-t* wrote: so by having this contest do we prove ourselves via. battling? or just compare stats online?
2 on 2 battles using four pokemon teams from parties of six
(is that clear enough?)
Dark Typhlosion wrote: Good idea ... And interesting...Can the poke have egg moves ? if yes, sign me in !!
Any moves that can be learned by Level 5, including egg moves, can be used, as long as it does not violate clause #6
Things To Debate
The following are suggestions that I want feedback on, please provide your point of view:
Level 5 Cap vs Level 1
Is Wynaut Broken?
Leave Clause #3? (also in poll)
WHETHER OR NOT YOU WOULD WANT TO JOIN, PLEASE VOTE

Er...What? Where's the grammar in that? I can't understand what you're saying at all.

That sounds cool, but in order to make it a true breeder tourney, the battles should be capped at level 1.
Here's why:
The level 1 Pokemon only have the moves and IVs. If you raise them to level 5, some EVs are added, and that doesn't determine how good a breeder you are, but rather how good a trainer you are.
About the evolutionary clause:
All pokemon level 1 should be able to enter. Why exclude some great Pokemon just because they don't evolve? A few that come to mind - Pinsir, Lapras, and Relicanth.

Hmm, sounds interesting. However, I have no hotspots where I live, and I'm not about to go everywhere just to find one.

I kinda feel the same way with the 3rd clause, i just put it in there because it was part of the rules in the little battles on PBR...same with lvl 5. By lvl five, ev's haven't made much difference yet.
level one makes since too, I think level 5 probably came from the gba games.

If you can't understand clear writing like that, then... The only thing missing is punuctiation in the list of rules.
Anyways, without the third clause might be a problem, as their statistics might be higher then others. (unfairly so.) But, it would work either way.

I edited... the original was posted while I was battling insomnia, it was pretty bad. (It was also posted using the onscreen Wii-board)
The other problem with the third clause is with pokemon that have had evelutions added on later, such as scizor
scyther and pinsir we're designed to be similar, but now scyther meets the third clause, and pinsir doesn't.
If we take out No. 3, we have to include an anti-legend clause (manaphy, and a few others can be 5 or lower)

It'd be to hard to enforce a no EV rule.

Duh! But what does that have to do with what i said? Also, it will be hard to get many people to sign up for this.

I asumed that's why you we're saying you could daycare level. That's the only reason you would. If you we're trying to level a newborn to battle at lvl 5, it would make more sense to give it a power item, give everyone else an exp share, then swith through your entire party each battle, so he only get 1-2exp and lots of EV's.
And as far as how many people will sign up, that's what this poll is for. To see if there is enough interest.
Oh, and edgat... That's in the PBR rules, i just forgot it. So I added it, Thank you for reminding me.

Ok, sign me up and I'll own you all with Manaphy LV. 1 ':?'
Yah, put a Manaphy and Wynaut clause on there. Otherwise a n00b will show up with those two and be all OMG I AM THE BEST!

WARNING: BAD PUN FOLLOWS
Why not Wynaut?
counter and magic coat hurt, but if you vary your move set, you can make them hard to land.
Any one else feel that Wynaut is broken? Please let me know.
Also, Many's banned by either version of the 3rd clause (if it gets voted down, it becomes anti-legend)

You can't have a level 1 manaphy.
