It was a duel between the underdog(me) and the Pokemon League Champion Cynthia.

Code:

My team was:                          The Champion's team:
Lvl 61 Camerupt                       Lvl 61 Spiritomb
Lvl 56 Spiritomb                       Lvl 60 Gastrodon
Lvl 56 Luxray                           Lvl 63 Milotic
Lvl 55 Mesprit                           Lvl 66 Garchomp
Lvl 56 Staraptor                        Lvl 63 Lucario
Lvl 55 Dialga                            Lvl 60 Roserade

As you can see, my team was severely underleveled compared to the champion.

The duel started with me bringing out Camerupt and Cynthia bringing out Spiritomb. Spiritomb did embargo, preventing my most powerful pokemon from using items. Since I knew Spiritomb had no weaknesses, I attacked it with my most powerful move, Earthquake. It brought it down to about 60% hp. Spiritomb then used Dark Pulse, bringing my Camerupt's HP to 25% I had spiritomb do earthquake again, bringing Spiritomb's HP to 30%. The bastard trainer then used Full Restore hampering my efforts. I did another earthquake, running out of PP for earthquake, bringing the enemy to 30% with a critical hit. I switched camerupt out and brung out my spiritomb to finish it off with Dark Pulse.

When the enemy Spiritomb died, I switched out my Spiritomb for Mesprit while the opponent brung out Roserade. Being of higher level and speed, Roserade opened with a surprising Shadow ball, bringing my Mesprit down to 25% HP. I used a Max Potion on Mesprit, and then the enemy used Energy Ball, bringing my Mesprit down to 45%. I then switched mesprit for
my Staraptor, in which Roserade foolishly used Shadow Ball, making no effect. I finished off Roserade with Fly.

I switched Roserade for Luxray to Cynthia's Milotic. Milotic, although higher
in level, was a pushover. Luxray easily OHKOed it via Thunder Fang with STAB and Magnet item attached.

Then I switched Luxray for Staraptor to Cynthia's Gastrodon. I took it out with two hits by Fly. However, Staraptor took some heavy damage from Stone Edge.

Now the real battle begins.

Cynthia brought out Garchomp. Garchomp was superior in speed and power and took my Staraptor down with STAB Dragon Rush. I brought out Dialga. Dialga took a heavy hit by Earthquake from Garchomp, lowering HP down to 25%. I was out of healing items so Dialga was doomed. I had Dialga do Roar of Time, expecting Garchomp to knock my Dialga out and proceed to sweep my team. Garchomp used Giga Impact to attempt to finish off my Dialga. However, unexpectedly, Giga Impact missed! My Dialga proceeded to OHKO Garchomp, which was 11 levels higher than my Dialga. Roar of Time did STAB critical hit and knocked out Garchomp.

One more pokemon, I thought, and victory was imminent. However, it was
far from over. Cynthia brought out Lucario. Lucario proceeded to KO all my pokemon, who were severely weakened in battle, except for my close-to-dying Camerupt. I couldn't use any items on Camerupt. With almost all hope lost, I had only one Max Revive. I didn't hestitate to revive my Spiritomb, which was my only hope for survival and victory. Lucario KOed my Camerupt.

Now the final battle had truly begun. Both Cynthia and I had one pokemon
left. It was the battle between Lucario and my Spiritomb. I had no more healing items or revives to get me out of this tight situation. Lucario opened with an earthquake, bringing my Spiritomb down to 11 HP. I put all my hope into Spiritomb's Hypnosis, which has a meager 70% accuracy. Sweat dripped down my chest and arm. All the effort and work came down
to this move. By sheer luck, Hypnosis connected, to my delight! I then proceeded to finish it off with Nasty Plot + Dream Eater and become the Pokemon Champion.

This was truly an edge-of-your-seat battle for me. The MVP of this match was Spiritomb, who saved my doomed a$$. The opponent had pokemon that were 6-11 levels higher than mine. But with determination and faith, I pulled through and defeated Cynthia.

The only trouble I had was the Milotic. It fainted all of my pokemon except Gyarados and it played out like this:

Gyarados - Milotic
dragon dance - ice beam
dragon dance - ice beam
full restore - ice beam
dragon dance - surf
dragon dance - surf
full restore - surf
dragon dance - surf
Aqua tail - [Insert the cry of Milotic here] Milotic fainted!

And I just Aqua tailed Roseraid and Lucarion; my team almost completly died when I could have just dragon danced at the start....

For some reason, my easiest victory over Cynthia seemed to be the first time I fought her--after that, it seemed to get harder. Mainly it's the fact that when it comes down to Palkia VS. Garchomp, the game just LOOOOVES to throw in critical hits for Garchomp's Dragon Rush. ;; But here's what I usually do each time I battle her (and I don't completely remember the order, either):

Cynthia sends out Spiritomb: I sent out Empoleon
" " " Garchomp: I sent out Palkia
" " " Gastrodon: I sent out Venusaur (gotta love 4x normal damage)
" " " Lucario: I sent out Rapidash
" " " Roserade: kept out Rapidash
" " " Milotic: I sent out Luxray

Spirtbomb was not where I ran into trouble. I blasted it with Fire moves.(went down in 3 moves) I had trouble with the evo of Shellos. Why? When it was in the orange she returned it-sent it back out-used full restore-repeat cycle. Remember this with Spirtbomb-
"Do not use your best move.....Use the baest move of your strongest pokemon."

GOOD LUCK!

Garchomp nearly screwed my team over, very quickly. My Floatzel managed to get it's HP down into the orange, so I just needed a speedy pokemon to do it...unforunately, my only options were severly under leveled Palkia, Uxie, Infernape, and Luxray. All of them went down in one hit because they were all too slow, except Luxray. Luxray had Quick Claw attatched to it. :p

After Garchomp went down, it was just Milotic vs. Luxray, and I lol'd at that match up. Milotic's awesome sp. defense was no match for my Luxray's physical electric attacks...oh, and Quick Claw saved me AGAIN in that battle. Milotic went down in one hit, and I claimed victory over Cynthia.

How did u folks hav so much trouble?

spiritomb went down in 2 brave birds
garchomp and roserade went down in 1 (blizzard and brave bird respectively, the recoil killed my staraptor but tht didnt matter)
gastrodon went down in a few grass knots an milotic went down multiple times thx to the full restores with luxray's spark an more grass knots from abomasnow
the lucario was the only thing to actually hav any effect, takin down my bronzong leaving palkia to kill it off with fire blast

i didnt even need to send out my lucario, nt tht it wudv bn much use, i barely used it at all for the e4

My first match up against Cynthia was... interesting, to say the least.

Rapidash 51
Garchomp 52
Octillery 53
Honchkrow 52
Vespiquen 54
Bibarel 16 (Basically, sitting there as an HM Slave, I hadn't bothered to switch...)

Vespiquen started the match, and Toxic-tanked the Spiritomb down. Her next choice was Milotic... So I sent out my Octillery, who, at the time, had Charge Beam, Ice Beam, Surf, and Energy Ball. After hitting the Milotic with one charge beam, and knowing she had a Roserade in the wings, I picked Ice Beam for the next attack...

... to greet the Roserade Cynthia switched out. It went down faster then then a lead ball on Jupiter. Gastrodon was the next one to come out, so I kept Octillery out, and Energy Balled the Gastrodon... next one down. Garchomp met a similar fate, eating an Ice Beam to the face. Lucario, however, got to meet my Rapidash instead, who Flare Blitzed him out of existance handidly. Then came Milotic...

Seeing how little damage Charge Beam had actually done the the beast, I figured I'd let some of my other pokes have some screen time. Bad call. Milotic took each of them down quickly. It was down to, well, my Bibarel and my Octillery.

It came down to redline: Whoever made the next shot had the win. Winchester the Octillery had already missed the last Charge Beam shot I had, so, while shouting at the DS that if he missed the next one I'd disown him, he fired up Charge Beam and took down Milotic.

The match was mine.

Nice read, my battle was quite similar, cept I was stocked with supplies.
Spiritomb was easy for me, but only because all it's moves are not effective against Empoleon :]
Garchomp wiped out all my team the last time I went there, so this time when it nearly did it again, it had to face my snorlax with a quick claw, I body slammed and paralyzed it, got it down to 1hp, when it full restored ;(. I thought I was screwed, but luckily, my snorlax paralyzed it again, and I got lucky with it not being able to move. I found Cynthia a very fun and challenging fight over all ^_^

I had my own Garchomp to use against Cynthia's. The fight was not as hard for me as it seemed to be for a lot of us. I took out Spiritomb with a couple of Roserade's fire type Weather Balls. Not hard. Garchomp was KOed with two Dragon Claws. Dragon Rush is very inaccurate, so I passed on that one. Lucario was out with Garchomp's Earthquakes. Milotic was lucky for me. Roserade had a critical hit with Giga Drain.

Everything else was a piece of cake for me.

I walk into the room I never thought I would enter again once again, my new and favorite pokemon by my side, I run up to her and yell "Lets battle again Cynthia!" she laughs "You are once again naive! you are going to regret beating me last time!"

my team:

Code:
Blaziken LVL 71
Weavile LVL 57
Mamoswine LVL 52
Ambipom LVL 51
Golduck LVL 53
Staraptor: LVL 53

I send out Mamoswine to start, and she again taunts me with Spiritomb, but I had a plan - I attacked with Ancient Power and knocked it down to 63% with a critical hit, Spiritomb uses Embargo disabling me from haling my Mamoswine, I then us Blizzard knocking down to 49%, they use dark pulse which is a critical hit! knocks my Mamoswine down to 40%, I then blizzard again with a critical hit thanks to the held item, and knocks out spiritomb! She then sends out Gastrodon, that annoying "bling bling bling bling bling bling" taunting at me, I feel as I can knock out Gastrodon with a single blizzard, but yet, it could miss and gastrodon can KO Mamoswine, I take my chance and blizzard him, IT HITS, but brings gastrodon to 10%! Gastrodon attacks with Muddy Water and KO's Mamoswine. I send out Golduck, I attack with surf - which lucky for me Cynthia never used full restore, she sends out Roserade and starts with solar beam - I say to myself "I must save Blaziken to Lucario, but one of my favorite pokemon will be killed!" I decide to switch with Blaziken, solar beam hits and lowers blaziken to 91%, I fire blast roserade for a one hit KO, she sends out Milotic, with out me having a grass or thunder type I fret! I send out Weavile, she attacks with Surf, doing little damag, I attack using Focus Blast bringing Milotic down to 50% with a Critical Hit, she uses Ice Beam leaving a critical hit, with 45% left, I use focus blast praying for a critical hit, it misses! She Ice Beams Weavile leaving him dead - I send out GOlduck again using Focus Blast, with his Razor Claw equip I pray for a critical hit, it makes a hit and critical for that matter! Only two left - She sends out Lucario, "Too easy!" I said sending out my Blaziken, He fir blasts Lucario with a super effective, only leaving him with 20%, she KOs Blaziken with Force Palm, I send out Staraptor and attack with Brave Bird, but before Staraptor attacks Cynthia uses Full Restore, I hope that its one hit KO, it does, but knocks out Staraptor as well, I send out Ambipom, while sh sends out Garchomp, I use Solar Beam, and Garchomp uses Giga Impact making it going "Ding Dong Ding Dong Ding Dong", I turn down the volume for a second, Solar Beam hits! it lowers Garchomp to 45%, Cynthia Drops her jaw and says: "I have never been backed into a corner like this in a long time!" I ask my friend to forgive me as Ambipom is holding a Razor Fang, I use Fling! It hits, and garchomp goes into red! I Pray and use Double Hit, Lucky for me after Giga Impact Garchomp can't use a move this turn. "Ambipom! Double Hit!" I yell, It hits once, bring Garchomp to 20%, it hits a second time and makes a critical hit! I have beaten Cynthia for the Second time! With bruises on my pokemon, I take them to the downstairs poke-center, and I say to them: "Good job you guys, I'm proud of you!"!

That actually happened, lol

I dealt with Milotic and Garchomp with my level 48 Raichu pumping up her special attack with Nasty Plot. Thunderbolt, dead Milotic. Focus Blast, Focus Blast, dead Garchomp.

Thank goodness for Raichu, because it bought me time to revive my Mismagius to finish the fight. Cynthia was pretty tough for my underleveled 48-50's party.

Heh. I had everything lvl 55 when I fought, it was easy. I always save up all my money from going through the game(most of it) and spend it on full restores/revives/hyper potions to fight E4. Plus I save before each member.

I remember switching in Dialga on Garchomp's Giga Impact, living with mininal damage, and blasting the entire team with Roar of Time after that.
