The E4 usually is the best place to train. If I'm training 3rd gen pokemon, though, the FRLG E4 has slightly higher levels.

Well, the E4 does give you money, but I dont like having to beat all four of them if I just want to train a few levels up. I go to the desert north of the Resort Area. I use my Palkia Lvl100, which can destroy any PKMN you find there and just give an EXP share to the PKMN I want to train.

the best place to train in the wild is the resort area, because there are better pokemon there, but if you are including the elite four and champion then that is better.

Depends. For EV training, I use many different places. For level up, E4 is probably the best. For testing Pokes for competitive battle, I'll use the BT.

EV Training: whatever has the highest percentage of encountering the pokemon I want or battling specific trainers w/VS Seeker

Leveling Up: E4 or Gyarados above Resort Area for electric types

Testing Competitiveness: WiFi/Battle Tower

Very well put, after I finally decide I am going to keep a team I make it my mission to get them to level 100. Seeing as you cant go back and battle gym leaders anymore I abuse the E4. To test out teamplay and such the battletower is often a good plave to go seeing as it gives you the majority of your team to use, but, it only allows you to face unevolved forms until you get to around 30 wins. And for some people they need to test their whole team and unfortuneatly for that you must go Wi-Fi. As for EV training there are many different places. You can go to the "Areas" and use the Exp. Share with PkRs to get the same EVs onto little pokes and train your bigger guys at the same time.

I like Stark Mountain. You can find things on level 58. I also like training at Turnback cave sometimes but I don't understand those absurd puzzles. It's worth a rare bone and level 64+ Pokemon.
