If I lost count when EV training a Pokemon and it's EVs in Speed are somewhere above 100 like 133 or something, and I use an EV reducing berry that reduces the EVs in that particular stat, will it reduce it to 100 or by 10 only? I'm confused.

Each berry subtracts 10 EVs for its particular stat. If you had 133 EVs for Speed, and you feed your Pokemon a Tamato berry, its EVs will fall to 123.

That's not what I heard. I keep hearing from many sources that for Diamond if your EVs in a particular stat are over 100 and you want to bring them down with an EV reducing berry, it'll bring it down to 100. Then every EV reducing berry after that will reduce it by 10.
Can someone confirm this? I'm still not sure now.

Oh really? I'm not sure then. In RSE, each berry subtracted 10 EVs. I haven't tried the EV-reducing berries in DP yet.

I can't out right confirm it, but what you're saying sounds familiar. This could be verification. It might just be a safe berry to feed your Pokemon 14 Berries of the right EV reducing type. Can't go wrong that way.

Err, I know this may be not TOTALLY related to the question at hand, but can someone tell me if I can EV train a level hundred using EV reducing berries? I heard that there's some sort of "box trick", and I think someone said it could help me EV train my level 100's (I gave them junk EV's, but didn't care at the time). Help would really be appreciated!

yeh, and also does the poké stop eating the berry once it's EV's are fully lowered (i.e to 0) on each stat?

The box trick doesn't work in D/P.

you will be told that 'the stat won't go any lower'
i think if you still have some friendship left to get, the berrys will still be consumed.

i can definitely confirm this. in D/P if you have more than 100 EVs in a stat and eat the relevant berry, your EVs go back to 100. (unless you have say 105 in which case i guess it would go down to 95?) this is different to emerald, where EVs go down by 10 no matter what.
to answer another question..... when you give a pokemon say a tamato berry it generally says something like "pokemon became friendly. however, its speed fell". if it has maxed happiness it becomes something like "pokemon loves you. however its speed fell". if its speed EVs are 0 it says "pokemon became friendly. its speed cant go any lower". if it has max happiness, and 0 speed EVs it will say "it wont have any effect".
hope this helps

So what was the box trick anyway? Just wondering.
