I won Master Cool and Tough Contests and paintings easily with:

Swellow + Red Scarf=7 stars (I don't think it has Coolness maxed)
Peck
Double Team
Aerial Ace
Quick attack

Double Team+Quick Attack+Aerial Ace is a great combo.

Aggron + Yellow scarf=6 stars (It doesn't has Toughness maxed)
Tackle
Harden
Iron Defense
Take Down

Harden makes combo with both Tackle and Take Down, you can use the best combo for your situation. If you feel that you won't get startled after using Harden, use Take Down.

is very good in the cute contests.

You can also get this Pokemon for smart contest, but you MUST fill at least once the Applause Meter for winning.

Cacturne + Green Scarf (I don't remember how many stars it gets)
Ingrain
Faint Attack
Leech Seed
Needle Arm

All those moves are Smart, which help to fill the Meter. If you start in last, use Leech Seed for moving to the front in the next round, and when you get in front use Faint Attack+Ingrain and repeat if possible.

Needle Arm in not really useful, if you can, replace it with another move with a different contest type for preventing the other Pokemon from filling the Applause Meter.

Where did you get the scarfs?

when a pokemon status is in a catagory such as smartness as high as halfway through the coloured bit, the chairman of the fan club will give you a scarf in that catagory to make your pokemon's status go up. sort of like vitamins for contests.

Won the Master the first try

I used Pokemon that were known for their top condition (e.g. is famously the most beautiful Pokemon, is by far the smartest, and is the cutest) and gave them movesets that would cream their opponents in that category.

For , I used the Surf and Dive combo.
has Calm Mind, Psychic and Future Sight.
hasn't won yet, but I'm going to breed one with a Rest and Snore combo.
is the Pokemon that I think is the coolest-looking, and has Aerial Ace, Double Team and Agility.
For toughness, you can't go past the rock-hard , with Harden, Tackle, Take Down and Iron Defence.
