Victory road's pretty good. Hariyama's give you like 1k each, as do golbats, and you can keep beating Wally up too

I believe you're a bit confused on the games I'm talking about. Firered and Leafgreen, not Ruby and Saphire.

i know good spots to train. go to the victory road and use vs seeker then and u will fight like level 50 pokemon its good for training. also, just fight the elites and you will get exp. and u dont really need the national dex to get wobbufet or hoppip and stuff as they are found on islands after game ( not sure if needign nat. dex ) :D

Yes, you need the National Dex to get any of the Johto Pokemon on the islands, as well as access to Islands 4-7, period.
And the VS Seeker doesn't work inside any of the dungeons. I've run into the same problem, if you've done the first part of the Seveii Islands Quest (1-3), your best bet is some of the trainers there, as they have better pokemon than the trainers on the mainland.

Ah, thank you, good plan. I do wonder why the VS seeker won't work in victory road, though (I've noticed that before). What were they thinking?

You, Sir, have spammed up my forum with very short replies that add nothing to the topics! You are also a liar, as the VS Seeker doesn't work inside dungeons and buildings!

As to justdd's question, I suspect it's because of how they programmed it, it was just easier to make all "inside" places off-limits, IE so you can't use it on the Gym leaders or their trainers. I don't really know for sure though.

how about near cycling route and in all the dungeons
near/on cycleing road- vs seeker on all the biker goons (try to get a whole mob at a time instead of running around like an idiot)
dungeons/cves: wild pokemon and trainers if there are any left.

try using VS Seeker on the same trainer over and over and their levels will increase to around 50
