First thing to be said- I dont own Pkmn D/P yet, as I have to wait till it's UK Release Date (July 27th) in order to purchase either game. But I started to create teams of 6 pokemon with specific Natures/Movesets/Etc. during the mean time for Competitive Battling until D/P comes out.

Until, I thought I created a Combo of moves for the pokemon who have the specific moves (and possible stats, although I've only found one particular pokemon with these qualities at the mo'). So I'll just say that pokemon is Lickilicky, who's basically slow, with some defense and Attack and can learn Curse and Gyro Ball.

So if I commanded (sorry if it sounds like Labour) Lickilicky to use Curse a couple of times, this would lower it's Spd. PLUS raise it's Atk. (aswell as Def). After, Lickilicky could then use Gyro Ball to deal damage (Power increases the faster the Foe is).
Lowered Spd.+Raised Atk.+Gyro Ball can mean DEADLY.

However, Im posting this just to see if the Combo could work or not (Based on different people's judgements).

gyro ball's not that good...you can do much better...also raising atk wont raise gyro ball's damage

Actually, raising your general Attack power raises the power of Gyro Ball as well, so Curse works rather nicely with it. Better than Bronzong, at least.

If you had Explosion on that Lickylicky and a focus band and used curse a few times it could be interesting. Use it as a last ditch effort, of course; but, Licky'd get the STAB bonus and might not even die from it...yeah...
