my friend wants earthquake tm on emerald so i will trade it too him but he said this isnt worth it trade something else what do you think

Well I would trade it if I have the ability to obtain additional copies of the TM. For instance, you have another GBA, another Pokemon game, and can therefore trade the TM over from that other game.

Moreover, you can gain a Shelgon, which is not available in FRLG =)

However, do note that Earthquake is a very useful TM, and that it's one of the most commonly used moves ever. At the end of the day you should consider how badly you need the TM compared to what he's gonna trade to you, before deciding on what to do.

if your not against duplicating, trade your pupitar over to your friend's emerald and get him to duplicate pupitar holding the earthquake. You get your Shelgon, he gets Earthquake, plus you can get EQ back.

But to ansewer your question no. I am quite sure that cloning dosn't work on Saphire.

A lot of thge pokemon that learn EQ through the TM can also learn it through breeding or level-up. Get EQ on something by level-up first, and then trade it.
