I bet it will end up on all fours.
The only Gen that didn't have a quadruped was III,
but only Stood on his hind legs. He traveled with all four.

I love how that grass one looks. Water one looks kinda cool, not a huge fan of the fire one but it's ok too.

I'm a very casual player of the games, so stats don't mean much to me. Right now I'm casting my vote for the Grass Lizard. Judging by appearances alone, I imagine it'll end up being Grass/Dark or Grass/Psychic, both of which I think would be awesome.
Next is PBJ Otter, then Flame Poombah.

Grass starter all the way! And what is the hipe with the fire starter? Flaming pig? to me, that sounds like self-cooking bacon!

The grass starter seems to be the right one to do.
1. Historically, grass starters have been the least picked, so breeding it early on = good trade material.
2. The fire pig will be the most picked, and thus easiest to g et.
3. The water starter is fugly. You really want to start w/ that? It might be good to breed and offer on the GTS, but it just seems so ugly!

I always pick fire,
why change now fire rules!
usually I just get both versions anyway to complete my dex.

Mijumaru meets Zangoose meets Floatzel. THAT is why Mijumaru has the most potential out of the 3.

I know I'm NOT getting the water otter! Either the pig or the snake, I'm leaning towards the pig unless the snake has awesome attack stats. (which it probably will)

I'll start with Mijumaru or Pokabu because they're both so darn cute. But I have to see their moves/evolutions to decide from there.

I'm hoping that one of the starters(perferably Tsutaaja) has a Base Stats set up where it's SPE is it's higest stats but it's actually overall set up right for once, they haven't really done this to my liking yet...
Master Zoroark, that actually looks simular to something I though about making in the past, only different color scheme & Mijumara themed...what I want to say is that that looks awesome, enough said...
I hope that when they make their anime debut, that Mijumara does something to buy the few remaining people over that find it ugly cause I find it cute, just that I also find it to be very unappealing at this point in time...

Fangasm.
Pokabu is pretty cute, but, to take a line from someone writing an editorial for Bulbanews, Tsuutaja is "too cool for school". And that is why I am going to pick it, unless it sucks balls like Treecko did, in which case I will start a new game.

the majority of the people here are talking about how great the fire and water are but right now the poll says:
the grass type has 47% of the vote, almost half and the dumb little otter thing has like 21%
anyways, i predict the grass will evolve into a pure grass pokemon
remember: i called it first

I predict otherwise as we already had 2, 2 pure grass starter final evolutions(Meganium & Sceptile) & it being a snake of any kind gives it the potiential to have a lot of different secondary types, I do however predict that that secondary type will not be Poison if anything at all, I predict a constrictor snake & I called it first(at least officially anyway)...
Also, I believe that the people who say good things about the other starters but bad things about the Grass starter are just not "giving a vote with that post", etc. etc. ...

As for me, i will choose Pokabu bcause it is so cute! It goes against my rules as a water trainer, but Mijumaru is too ugly.

I've been sworn against all Fire-types since Gen I and its lame-@$$ Charizard.
However, I think I'm gonna choose Pokabu, which surprises me.

While it surprises you, it actually doesn't surprise me at all...
I am going to however pick Pokabu for my 2nd 5th Gen game I get if it's final Evolution looks acceptable to me, otherwise It's all Mijumara for my 2nd 5th Gen game since it is cuter to me in almost every possible way & not because of the comic in the other thread but because it has a adorable frown on it's face which I find almost irresistable...

me and some mates had a theory that the the final evolutions would be
Grass/ steel ( cos mabe it goes from geko --> armoured Chameleon --- Heavily aromoured ***** Toad )
Fire/ poison (make a boar with toxic tusks)
Water/ ice (not original but neither was swamperts type)
so hoping they are correct i voted grass type, i not he still looks the coolest and i rarley train grass types so id still pick him

I like your theory on this one very much & if true I might actually start liking Pokabu & the Grass Type's theory was also good though I don't like the idea of a toad for a starter final evolution...

i might choose the grass type mainly because i think its the coolest of em but also because i have never ever choosen a grass as starter
But still i might want to see how the final evolutions look like before i judge

just like with liberals.
you yell loud "oh a cute pig" "omg the water otter is amazing"
but the truth is: the grass has 50% of the vote.
thats right. out of 3 choices it has half the vote.
why?? because grass has been crapped on that last 4 gens and now this one can kick some @$$.
GO GRASS!

They seem to be too ashamed to reveal they like grass for fear of others (or worse, themselves) dissing them. I say it's high time Grass types are given the respect that is rightfully theirs. It's not fair that Fire and Water took most of the spotlights for FOUR GENERATIONS now.
Heck, even the Grass starters have the lowest base stats among all starters (525), with the exception of , who, if I'm not much mistaken, only ties with three of the water starters with the lowest base stats (530), while the fire starters enjoy the highest average of base stat totals (around 534) and enjoying the highest so far (535).

I can safely say I've equally loved all the starters ever (with the exceptions of and ),
And I'm pretty sure I close to equally love the new three.
Oink and Hiss tie for first, with Derp falling closely behind.

I liked Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Torchic, Mudkip, all Gen 4 starters & I like Tsutaaja & Mijumaru & am starting to like Pokabu based on what some users & I think it will look like when it fully evolves type wise(& for me appearance wise)...
So I can say that every Gen there has been a starter or two that I didn't like for whatever the reason was(I liked Chimchar but hated that repeated Fire/Fighting combo it ended it with when fully evolved so in a way I didn't like it), 5th Gen is no different as it stands now...
