the best thing to do is do a couble battle. send out smeargle and a pokemon that knows the move smeargle wants to sketch. make sure the other pokemon is faster than smeargle (you could give the smeargle an iron ball or macho brace or something else to slow him down) - have it use the move to be sketched, and smeargle sketches it from him. then win the battle and he will have the move. and ive also read that sketch fails in link battles, although i never realised "how" it failed, so it was nice to read about your experience.

meanwhile, ive always though it was a pity mew couldnt learn sketch.....

I think the most racest pokemon of all time has to be Jynx for obvios reasons

and i all so think there should be an evolution for her in the next gen (watch shell look exactly like ophra and have an attack like "Pontiac attack" )

I think they should have left some pokemon be. There was this pokemon that was really cool (not mention which one so people don't hate me) untill its new evo came out. I mean they ruined it.
