Sorry if I put this in the wrong place, but I can't decide which electric pokemon should go into my yellow team.
I have the following choices:
Zapdos
Electrode
Magneton
Electabuzz
Raichu
I just can't stand that stupid Pikachu.

Well, I would recommend , but only if you do not have a Flying type already. If you do have a flying type, , since he is the fastest in R/B/Y, but it's completly up to you. Peace Out!

Can you post your the other members of your team? It'll be wiser to choose after looking at the other members. For now, I say Zapdos is the best, simply because of his lack of weakness to Ground types and his 00ber stats.

Oh, right. My team is being improvised, but this is what I have:
{electric pokemon}
EDIT: I like electabuzz because he has a solid punch, but I like electrode, the fastest paralyzer, but magneton is sturdy enough to take hits. It's to hard! *sigh*
EDITII: If I trade a pokemon from yellow to G/S/C, then let it learn a move that it doesn't naturaly learn, but still exists in yellow, then trade back?
I.E.: I want my tangela to learn leech seed. Can I give it to my silver to breed leech seed on it, then give the tangela back to yellow?

snowball brings a good point. Electrics only weakness is ground and rock. Zapdos is part flying so....I would pick Zapdos.
You are very wise snowball. I would have never thought of that.

Electrics aren't weak against rock.
Anyway, BECAUSE zappy is part flying, he has a weakness to rock and ice.

Yes, you can do both of those things. As long as the moves you're teaching exist in RBY, the game finds nothing wrong with your Pok

That's what I hate, is their flying characteristics.

I would suggest you pick over since you already have a potenital physical sweeper, and a much faster one at that.
This is my team format (if anyone really needs it)...
Water/Ice (or a combo of both)
Fire (cuz Fire kicks tail)
Grass/Poison/Bug (or any combo of the three)
Electric (cuz Electric kicks even more tail)
Normal/Rock/Ground/Fighting/Steel (not for R/B/Y)
Dragon/Psychic/Dark (also not for R/B/Y)
Also one of them are also Flying Type, like is Fire/Flying
Again, this is just what I do to choose my teams in the games. Peace Out!

Go with or
has the speed you need.
I am pretty sure will learn some decent fighting type moves to take care of your normals.
I think he does, I cant remember. lol

Why not Jolteon? It can learn Pin Missile & Double Kick as well as Electric Attacks...
And I'd recommend dropping Alakazam & Tangela in favour of Exeggutor.

GameFreak went nuts creating Electric-types, it seems like all of them (except Magneton) are good. But I'd recommend this:
Electabuzz: Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave (TM), Psychic (TM), Ice Punch (GSC Tradeback)
That'll solve most (if not all) of your problems.

Aargh! I can't decide between zapdos or electabuzz. It's so annoying.
On second thought, nevermind.
I'M USING ELECTABUZZ!
Yeah. I'm done now.
