I see it around the net a lot but I don't understand it, and that is catch rate. What exactly is a pokemon's catch rate I know it varies from pokemon to pokemon but a couple of examples would help. Also how do different balls help improve the catch rate of pokemon?

Catch Rates:
ex. Rayquaza has _% catch rate
If it is very high, you have a very high chance to catch it.
If it's 'right 'round the middle, you have a 50/50 chance of catching it.
If its low, you'll have trouble catchin' it.

I know that's a little hard to understand, but that link has a calculator at the bottom. Just plug in the info and it will tell you.
