It's useless on it, it has low HP and can barely survive a hit. Nice attack though, and nice speed. |

Pikachu's a perfectly viable pokemon in GSC assuming you can get a Light Ball. How about: Pikachu @ Light Ball ~Thunderbolt / Thunder ~Surf (If you can get it) / Sweet Kiss (If you can't) ~Thunder Wave/ Sing ~HP Fire/ HP Ice/ Rain Dance You can have some fun with pikachu if you're willing to put some patience behind getting a good one. Thunderbolt zaps everything except grounds which Surf will take care of if you can get surfing pikachu, otherwise, go with Hidden Power Ice and Sweet Kiss which is more or less a filler. He can sleep or paralyze whichever is more important to you and the last slot you can have some fun with. With surf and thunderbolt, HP Fire will cover grass-types, if you can't get Surf then HP Ice hits both and Rain Dance can be used if you don't care about grass types to power up surf and open up the option for Thunder. Lots of options and a fun little pokemon. I use him frequently in Crystal to great effect. |

{pinsir} @ Leftovers Swords Dance Double Edge Submission Flail The main idea here is that Leftovers helps with the recoil from Double Edge and Submission. Flail can be used when poor little Pinsir is about to kick the bucket. You like? |
yes may seem like a stupid question but can i ask what HP grass, Hp Rock ETC. means?
HP means Hidden Power. So if it is HP Grass, then it is a Grass-type Hidden Power. If you need to learn about the mechanics of Hidden Power, refer to the main site's page on Hidden Power. |

This will be very useful for me in Gold. Wondering, however, how am I supposed to get my Dragonite to learn Ice Beam? I also think Hyper Beam wouldn't go astray for Snorlax/Aerodactyl. |

By tutoring. Check out Dragonite's Psydex page here: http://www.psypokes.com/dex/psydex/149/all The tutor can teach your Pokemon Thunderbolt, Ice Beam or Flamethrower for 4000 Coins. However, he can only be found on Wednesday and Saturday. More details can be found here: http://www.psypokes.com/gsc/faqs.php (Scroll down to the Misc Questions) |

For Gold and Silver, a possible alternative is to teach it Ice Punch by TM. |

Yeah, I noticed that, I might give Dragonite Ice Punch, though I have already taught Blizzard. |

I think these make a good move set to add to the list. Giga Drain for Arbok, Parasect, Mew, and Ho-Oh. Hydro Pump for Starmie and Blastoise. Pin Missile for Jolteon, Beedrill and Forretress. Forretress and it's previous evolution can learn it from Breeding. Twineedle for Beedrill. Bubblebeam for Articuno. Earthquake for Typhlosion. Fury Cutter for Scizor and Parasect. Fly for Charizard, Articuno, and Moltres. |
