next question:

Before the battle of Endor, the Empire designed a new version of the TIE.
It was meant to be a long range fighter, not like the original TIE.
Because all funds were "pumped" into the costruction of Death Star II, it never came to mass production of this ship.
A few "prototypes" were made..

What's the name of this ship ?

I unfortuaatly don't know as muh about the original trilogy as I'd like soI'll guess the interceptors.

ive got the star wars card from decipher back when they used to make it.

anyways heres wat my handy "guide to the star wars universe" has to say about the ship:

"A prototype Imperial fighter developed shortly before the Battle of Endor. It featured three sets of solar collector panels and mutliple heavy-weapons systems."

Ummm that is the same thing as the Tri-fighter. They all it the Tri-fighter in the NJO series.

no you're wrong it is not the "same as the tri-fighter"

heres wat my handy "guide to the star wars universe" has to say about the tri-fighter (different entry from tie/d you might notice :roll: )

"A custom-designed starfighter used by the Invids pirate crews. It is constructed around the ball cockpit and ion engine assembly of Sienar Fleet System's basic TIE fighter and married to a trio of angular blades set 120 degrees apart. Tri-fighters are equipped with basic shields and have side viewports cut into them to give the pilots more visibility."

do not doubt the guide. it is the bible of star wars knowledge.

again the CORRECT answer to this question is TIE defender, and not anything else.
