Once upon a time there was a boy named Ash Ketchum.

He was a very successful pokrmon trainer, but his cousin wasn't so lucky.

his name was brendan and he lived in Hoenn, the small little town of Littleroot Town, and he had an obnoxious neighbor named May.

one day Brendan ventured out of his home and found a man who was being chased by a pack of Poochyenas told him to choose one of the three pokemon in his bag: Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip

so Brendan randomly picked one of the pokeballs at random, and when he through it, a Torchic popped out, and defeated the Poochyenas, and because of this Prof. Birch gave him the Torchic

((I was hoping this wouldn't turn into a story based on one of the games, but one again I expect too much.))

Prof. Elm told Brenden to come to his lab to thank him for saving his life.

Then he decides to go meet his cousin Ash in the Johto Region.

But during the boat trip, he was surprised by Team Rocket, who, for some stupid reason, tryied to steal his Torchic

He used Torchic to defeat the idiotic Rockets, since they were idoitic, an didn't know how to battle.

and they lost because their koffing used Selfdestruct and it missed torchic...

Torchic defeated so many rockets, that it evolved into Combusken.

Combusken was very out of control and often beat up Brendan.

once Combusken beat him so hard Brendam almost died, so he decided to beat May to unleash his anger

hey, can we try not to make this an abusive story, and if he was in Johto, May wouldn't even be with him

I thought this was supposed to be funny, I wasn't expecting someone would think it was abusive.

I actually thought someone would answer it saying something like "but May kicked his butt", and how come she's not in Johto? She could be anywhere, since we're not following the anime plot (plus Ash wouldn't be in Johto either)

Let's try to get this story back on track.

The boat that Brenden was on finally arrived at Olivine City.

Getting off the boat he saw a Tentacool flopping on the dock.

ash ran up to it with pikachu tailing he pulled out a pokeballand caught the tentacool

the the tentacool burst out of the pokeball and it started choking Ash.

So, Brendan sent out Combusken to try to save Ash, but Combusken just went to sleep, and the Tentacool used Ice Beam, freezing, and nearly killing Combusken, but letting go of Ash, but there wasn't a pokemon center for miles...

So a weirdo came and told them that if they can take the frozen combusken they can cure combusken.
