Erm, I don't really get how you intend on Baton Passing Kingdra's Swift Swim in the first place. I mean, I don't think it gets Baton Pass, even in the XD Purification or NYPC ways of obtaining odd moves.

Swift swim is an ability, I don't think they can be baton passed. It'd really help if it could though! And if Kingdra could learn baton pass...

Kingdra can't baton pass period. The only good pokemon that can baton pass speed are Jolteon, and Ninjask.

Well, Smeargle can baton pass speed <s>if you don't suck</s> if you can find a good moveset for him.
Like, IDK, Endure, Salac berry, Spore, Swords Dance/Nasty Plot/Agility/Other.

There is a way that Kingdra can learn Baton Pass, and that is through Mimic, but no, abilities cannot be passed along, although, compared to Jolteon, Ninjask, and Smeargle, Kingdra is better defensively, and has base attacks that are only beaten by Jolteons base 110 special attack. In means of speed however, without Rain Dance, it isn't that fast compared to Jolteon and Ninjask. However, although covered by Ninjask, if you did somehow manage to get a Mimiced Baton Pass onto it, you could pass along Dragon Dances, which could work better than Ninjask, due to the higher defenses and hp. Its just an idea though, and I have never tested it.

IIRC, Mimic does not allow you to keep moves (and it fails on Sketch)

I never said that it did let you keep it. I was simply saying that with the right timing, you could indeed give Kingdra Baton Pass until it either used it, it was forced out, or the battle ended. It isn't a useful strategy usually, but it can work well when it does work, given the right strategy.

It's an incredibly interesting strategy, but let's get practical.
In order to Mimic Baton Pass, the opponent has to use it, correct?
And when do people use Baton Pass?
After they've finished using Swords Dance or Agility or the like. So basically, you would need to ALLOW them to get set up and then Baton Pass before you could Mimic the move. And if you've allowed them to set up their strategy, then it means Kingdra is going to die before it can get itself set up to Baton Pass. The only way this could work is if you use Yawn as a form of psuedohazing, which would be incredibly difficult to time appropriately so that you could both Mimic Baton Pass and not get creamed.

yeah, if your not using a focus sash or leichi, then leftovers and protect are a nice combo, lot's of substitutes, and chances at getting in a few Swordies.
If not then Lichi is my prefered option.
