Well just my opinion. Any pokemon with Earthquake/Rock slide/Brick break/Shadow ball will beat you. And set what I told is used among physical sweepers. And NEVER use Egg bomb with Blissey, her attack sucks.

your right
not so much earthquake, as gengar, dragonite, and Charizard can dogde it but i see the problem with rock slie i think all my pokemon except geangar and raichu have weakness to rock thats always been a problem for me. Anyway, i realized your right, no egg bomb on blissey, so i might go with snorlax or something. He has awesome STAB so i think ill be okay.

Thanx

This time only one pokemon, my Tyranitar which is the result of 2 weeks breeding:

Tyranitar @ Lefties
Adamant | Sand stream
IVs: 31 Hp / 20 Def / 29 Att / 0 SpAtt / 31 SpDef / 30 Spd
Evs: 252 Att 252 Spd 4 Hp (I also own a version which has EV:s of 252 Att 252 Hp)
-Dragon dance
-Earthquake
-Rock slide
-Aerial ace
Physical sweeper. Eliminate things like Starmie first, and then Set-up. After 2 Dragon dances, Attack is over 802. Speed is doubled to 440 which outspeed pretty much anything not named Ninjask or Deoxys (S). This really can OHKO with set-up lots of things.

I'm Sorry if it's too much big, but i don't know the rules, and please RATING MY TEAM.

Use one team, and thats all. I'll rate the ones that are considered marginally usable.
Gyarados - Excellent work with that HP Rock. Cheri berry isn't that good though - leftovers is recceomended, but shell bell (because you are dragon dancing) is acceptable.

Snorlax - its better as a curser - a bit too fragile without the defense boosts. Curse > Belly Drum, and thats all. probably want a careful nature, as you are cursing, but not too much difference. EVs should be more balanced - 180 HP and Special defense might be better, with the remaining EVs into Defense and about 100 Attack.

I'm going to just make Dragonite general rate - Others do most movesets just as well, but dragonite happens to be excellent with a mixed sweeper set - Substitute, Focus Punch/Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Flamethrower/Fire Blast is best.

Tyranitar is another great mixed sweeper - known as Boah, it has Substitute, Focus Punch, Crunch (for physically defensive grounds), and thunderbolt (for flyers like dodrio, fearow, and infamous skarmory/gyarados). If you want to not have a mixed sweeper, your set is fine, just replacing crunch for aerial ace (for fighting types). Leftovers would be a much better idea. The only reason why I don't reccomend you use it at all is its terrible ability in-game - Sandstream, which will hurt petty much every single one of your other teammates

Heracross is better with swords dance > Bulk up, and rock slide > reversal (without a salac, you are just too slow).

Jolteon is great. Just no cheri berry, please - that thing just sucks. @Petaya (Colluseum) or Leftovers, again.

Magmar is a fire type, don't use it. The only fire type you could possibly use is Charizard.

There are better psychics than Eggy - Alakazam, Starmie (notable for recover), Jynx (lovely kiss is more accurate).

Slowbro just needs a bold nature, with calm mind > amnesia. the bold boosts the defense, the calm mind boosts the special attack and special defense.

Mr. Mime is a good baton passer, but Barrier is not really good on it. Thunderbolt, so you have more coverage, is a much better choice.

Ninetales is again a fire type. By the way, pyroshufling absolutely sucks - if you burn them, and they stay in, thats actually better, as their attack falls. Ninetlaes is also too defensively retarded to be pseudo-hazing. And, you waste that speed? No.

Blissey is better with a bold nature so that she survives Earthquakes and most fighting moves. She can also do much better with Calm Mind > Light Screen.

Vaporeon is good.

Wobbs is considered "uber", and is thus too cheap. Regardless, he's too slow for destiny bond - much etter with safeguard.

Muk is a no.

So, you'd probably want Mr.Mime, Dragonite, Heracross, Vaporeon, Blissey, and Gyara, I guess.

Peanut, you shouldn't use Tyranitar with Substitute untill it has 31 Hp IV and 252 EV:s in HP. That's how it can take Bliseeys Seismic toss and kill it with Focus punch. So the guy who Peanut rated, check the IV:s of Tyranitar. I also recomend to check the power of your HP Rock. If its something like 40 I wouldn't use it. Then just you would use Return.

Yeah, but breeding isn't that difficult.
I highly doubt that the HP Rock would be terribly low. Safe to assume that it has been checked.

Skeer
Swampert - you've got massive problems with moves - namely using the worst moves that it has. Surf and Earthquake are good, but what purpose does muddy water serve? Absolutely none. And take down - not only will it be averaging low power, but it has high recoil. Ice beam and roar/curse/rest are probably better moves. And another item - mystic water is too specific, maybe leftovers would be better with that high hp?

Swellow doesn't need 3 flying moves - quick attack (priority and quick kills) and return > wing attack and fly. If you really need fly, replace quick attack.

Ludicolo can be your HM slave, but it functions well with its draining and sponging movepool - leech seed, mega drain, ice beam/rain dance, surf/rain dance is good. Modest/Calm.

Flygon - Giga Drain > Strength, and flamethrower > faint attack - no need for 2 dark moves.
Either that, or go for a physical flygon - Earthquake, rock slide, return, and substitute/screech.

Cradily is very bad - at least this one is. Barrier, Mirror Coat, Confuse Ray, and ingrain is honestly its best moveset.

Rayquaza - Dragon Dance is a must on him. Fire Blast is good. Dragon Claw allows for good STAB. Earthquake finishes it out.

I recommend replacing cradily, flygon and ludicolo - there are better sweepers and walls out there.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

zapdosfan

Zapdos should seriously have Thunderbolt, Drill Peck, Agility/Thunderwave, and either Rest or a decently powered Hidden power ice/grass

Rayquaza: Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Flamethrower, Earthquake. Don't argue.

Latios - Shadow ball is physical, luster purge sucks. thunderbolt and ice beam instead.

HoOh - Sacredfire is good enough. Thunderbolt is cool. It gets Recover. Calm Mind makes things easier.

Lugia is a wall - Recover, Psychic, Calm Mind, Ice beam. Thats cool.

Meganium - earthquake and body slam are good. Swords Dance > bullet seed. Razor Leaf > solar beam.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

More after my shower (maybe)

GSC Teams go to the Johto Forum - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=933&start=340
Yes, I rate there as well (actually, I rate in all 4 generations).

Venusaur 100 Leftovers Bold

De 218 Sp 243

Earthquake Leech Seed(For Now)
Solar Beam is a no - the recharge really sucks.
To be perfectly honest, sleep powder is much more useful. Possibly synthesis > earthquake.

Articuno 100 Nevermeltice Brave
Hp 316 SA 218
At 238 SD 296
De 270 Sp 192
Sheer Cold Ice Beam
Aerial Ace Fly
I like it a bit more defensive - it gets Reflect, which can help with the bad rock weakness. Reflect > Fly. Sheer Cold is too luck based - rest, roar, or water pulse are much better. Leftovers is cool.

Moltres 100 Charcoal Lonely
Hp 305 SA 294
At 276 SD 212
De 198 Sp 243
Flamethrower Fire Blast
Aerial Ace Fly
This is about as good as it gets. Sunny Day may be worth investing in. Yeah, thats all. Petaya berry or leftovers for an item.

Zapdos 100 Magnet Adamant
Hp 315 SA 249
At 255 SD 226
De 234 Sp 261
Thunder Drill Peck
Shock Wave Fly
No - Thunderbolt, Thunderwave, Drill Peck, and either Light Screen or a good hidden power to round it out. Adamant wasn't a good choice - modest was more prefferable. Leftovers, please.

Mewtwo 100 Leftovers Careful
Hp 359 SA 338
At 268 SD 249
De 224 Sp 131
Psychic Future Sight
Swift Earthquake
No. Calm Mind, recover, psychic, and something good - ice beam, thunderbolt, or flamethrower.

and Rayquaza or Mew.
So How is it?
Your biggest problem is that you use the RBY birds - I don't mean Zapdos. I mean the other two - articuno and moltres. They both completely suck, sorry. You lack a stable water type like Lapras, Slowbro, or Starmie. You lack a good physical sweeper, like Golem, Rhydon, Machamp, Nidoking.

Time for bed - when I get back from my exam, the next 3 to be rated:

Hehe, some explaining - I have been out because of AP Exams and finals. And then college orientation. I promise, I'll try to get through 7 teams today :|

Bunny777 wrote:
This isn't the team I'm going to play with the whole game.
I need to change some Pokemon to see what's right I would like to be rated by you :)

My current team:

{blaziken} (47 Impish( Female)
Stats: Moves:
HP: 155 1. Ember
Atk: 136 2. Slash
Def: 88 3. Double Kick
S.atk: 113 4. Blaze Kick
S.def: 87
Spd: 103
Do over - the only one that should be here is Blaze kick, and thats only with a Critiken set. Go for a typical Blazed Chicken - Flamethrower/Fire Blast, Rock Slide, Sky Uppercut, and either Swords dance, bulk up, or Earthquake. You could also go with Earthquake instead of rock slide if you don't like breeding. Naive would probably be a better nature, but leave it as is if you want.

{pelipper} (44 Carefull( Male)
Stats: Moves:
HP: 118 1. Water Gun
Atk: 62 2. Wing Attack
Def: 108 3. Surf
S.atk: 83 4. Fly
S.def: 79
Spd: 78
Wow, no. Ice Beam > Water gun, Shock Wave/Stockpile > Fly, Spit up > wing attack if using stockpile. Modest, Timid, or Hasty would be best.

{kadabra} (44 Relaxed( Male)
Stats: Moves:
HP: 106 1. Psybeam
Atk: 40 2. Recover
Def: 41 3. Psychic
S.atk: 132 4. Flash
S.def: 71
Spd: 99
Psychic and recover are good. Thunder punch and ice punch > flash + psybeam, though. Modest nature would have been much better.

{magneton} (50 Bashfull( None)
Stats: Moves:
HP: 128 1. Spark
Atk: 83 2. Tri Attack
Def: 118 3. Lock-On
S.atk: 137 4. Thunder Wave
S.def: 91
Spd: 97
Thunderbolt, Thunderwave, Reflect, and HP Ice/Fire/Grass or leave Tri attack. Really hard - good stats, shallow movepool.

{absol} (50 Calm( Female)
Stats: Move:
HP: 131 1. Sowrds Dance
Atk: 139 2. Perisch Song
Def: 81 3. Slash
S.atk: 88 4. Bite
S.def: 80
Spd: 91
Swords dance, baton pass, Shadow ball, and rock slide/slash I guess.

I used Rayquaza to beat the Elite Four.
I didn't used any Protein or Carbos... yet.
Any ideas for my 6th Pokemon?
Walrein can go in here, or replace Pelipper. Golem/Rhydon/Hariyama/Machamp can fill in the 6th spot, though.

Here is my team i think its okay, it could be better
Plz tell me if you see a major weakness through all of them
Im not going to put in stats or notin, just the moves, nature, gender, and level

{charizard}(Flannery) Level 58 Rash Female
Slash
Earthquake
Flamethrower
Fly (im keeping it)

in my opinion, i think my charizard is pretty good.
Dragon dance / Swords dance / Dragon Claw > Slash. Slash plays too much chance, and thats not something you want.

{raichu}(Shocky) Level 59 Mild Male
Thunderbolt
Thunder
Slam
Thunder Wave

I know, hes terrible, all electric. Plz give me a move to replace.
Focus Punch > Thunder, Substitute > Slam. Trust me.

{venomoth}(Buggy) Level 58 Hasty Female
Sludge Bomb
Sleep Powder
Silver Wind
Psychic

Probably one of my best character, helps a lot with the better Elite Four
I'd say worst, but okay. Can't do much more with this.

{dragonite}(no nickname) Level 57 Sassy Male
Surf
Iron Tail
Agility
Dragon Claw

Dragonite has helped a lot, but damn was it a pain to have dragonair for 25 levels
Give me a nickname plz
I rate moves, not names. Actually, go with BoahNite, and these moves: Substitute, Focus Punch, Fire Blast, Dragon Claw. That is his best moveset.

{gengar}(Shadow) Level 59 Hardy Female
Shadow Ball
Hypnosis
Dream Eater
Curse
My best character
Dont say anything about gengar, i like him the way he is. My best Pokemon
Hypnosis/Dream eater is a terrible combo - go with Thunderbolt > Curse (can't take the extra HP drop), Psychic > Dream Eater (reliability), and thats it.

Now theres just one question
whos my SIXTH pokemon

Over the past couple of days, ive been fighting myself over these 2, and i cant decide!!! HELP
{snorlax} VS {blissey}

here are my thoughts for moves for them

{snorlax}
Rest
Body Slam
Hyper Beam
Amnesia or Bulk Up (if he can learn those)

{blissey}
Egg Bomb
Soft boiled
Sing
Psychic
Go with Curselax - Careful nature, moves being curse > amnesia/bulk up (he gets amnesia, but its not useful for helping his attack or defense), Shadow Ball > Hyper Beam (read any guide - Hyper beam after Red/Blue is bad),

Just for funsies, here is my Ruby team

{swampert}
{beautifly}

Beat the elite four with just those 2
Went on to complete my pokedex
{crobat}
after spending so much time trying to get golbat to evolve into crobat, he ended up being like level 60 by the time he evolved, so i put him in there too.
Replace beautifly, it is really bad. Zangoose instead. Oh, and Salamence is a good addition.

{gloom} Adamant lv 36 Evolve in to Vileplum or Belleosome ( Im thinking Belleosome)
Sleep Powder
Poison Powder
Moonlight
Acid
Evolve to vileplume. You'll want a grass move - aside from the highly valued giga drain, its best bet is petal dance. Petal dance > acid, and leave everything else the way it is. Or, run sunny set - Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Synthesis, Sleep Powder.

{swampert} Bold lv 36
Mud Shot
Surf
Foresight
Mud Sport
Earthquake > Mud Shot, when it learns it. Ice beam > Mud sport would be nice, so you hit dragons and grasses better.

{plusle} Relaxed lv 37 Should I change into an Electrode?
Quick Attack
Helping Hand
Thunder
Fake Tears
Switch it for Magneton, please. Electrode is fast and thats it.

{dustox} Timid lv 36
Silver Wind
Moonlight
Psybeam
Light Screen
Ugh, no. Dustox/Beautifly cannot be on good teams. Get a gardevoir instead.

{lombre} Naive lv 36 Breed with Marshtomp for Water Gun
Water Gun
Absorb
Nature Power
Rock Smash
Mega drain, surf, ice beam, leech seed/nature power (comes up with good stuff). Water Gun is useless compared to Surf.

{vibrava} lv 36
Cruch
Sand Attack
DragonBreath
Sand Tomb
Earthquake, Dragon Breath/Dragon Claw, fire blast, crunch is the moveset I like most.

Switch out Plusle, Gloom, and Dustox. Plusle and Dustox have low stats, and you have ludicolo for a grass type, which is all you would need gloom for.
You should really get a Gardevoir, and add a Meditite while in the area of Mt. Pyre, and work from there.

Pinsir (F) @ Salac Berry
Trait: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Bug]
- Rock Slide
- Swords Dance
Exlent starter, as after one SD, this thing is powerful. 125 base attack is awesome. I love it. Physical sweeper this is awesome. EQ is for Electrics and Rocks, mainly for Aggron and Golem. HP bug is this sets main attack. It will OHKO a lot of pokemon. I run some calculations and here are results: (With one Swords dance up)
Rock slide to Adamant 60 Hp / 0 Def Gligar = 169 - 198 damage, 2HKO.
Earthquake to Impish 252 Hp / 16 Def Golem = 375 - 441 damage. OHKO
And these are the two pokemon with most highest defense in UU, without being 4x weak to attack (Aggron). Great pokemon, Overall, as 100 base defense is not bad.

Gligar (M) @ Leftovers ** Superbat
Trait: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Iron Tail
- Swords Dance
Excelent tank. Typing is great for physical wall, mainly because immunity to so-common Earthquake. Hyper cutter is great ability as Intimidaters won't ruin your fun. Jolly beats in UU no speed boosting natures base 85 group, which is very common in UU. EQ is main attack. HP Flying is for Fighters and Grasses. Swords dance is for boosting these attacks, clear? Iron tail is the choice for Solrock and Lunatone, who resist HP Flying and are immune to EQ. Great wal and attacker at same time.

Hypno (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Insomnia
EVs: 252 HP / 192 Def / 64 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Reflect
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic
- Wish
Special tank. One of the best in UU, because it's special defense can only be matched with Grumpig and Mantine. The thing why I choose Hypno, is Reflect and Wish. Wish heals my pokemon, and Reflect is great move, because with that, Hypno has high Special defense AND Defense. Toxic is for status spreading. Seismic toss will then slowly wear them down. Annoying as Celebi.

Lunatone @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Hypnosis
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
Special sweeper that works. Hypnosis so that they fall asleep. When they do, Calm mind. you get atleast one Calm mind, possibly two. Then just sweep as those attack give great coverage in UU. Modest because that give nice extra difference after Calm mind. Immunity to EQ helps too.

Fearow (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Drill Peck
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Quick Attack
- Return
CBRow. CB Return hurts. Hp Ground is for Rocks. Quick attack is manly for stop EndRevers, and Belly drum Linoone. Drill peck is for fighters, and 80 BP is nice.

Electabuzz (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Static
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Ice Punch
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
Special sweeper. Hasty is because after this, it's faster than anything in UU except Electrode. She ties with +Speed Manectric and Scyther. HP Grass is for Quagsire. Ice punch OHKOs Gligar. Thunderbolt is the main attacking move. Sub if there's a switch coming. Great Special sweeper in UU, very great.

Here it is. In UU, there are really no 100% counter for this. Rate in words, and please 1-10 rating. Thankyou for rating.

koipen: If your going to have a pokemon with a sleeping inducing move, you may as well teach it Dream Eater for health recovery and the fact that it is slightly more powerful than Psychic. I would teach my Mewtwo Dream Eater if it knew a sleep causing move!

Also If I had a Fearow exactly like that one I would give it the Silk Scarf or the Sharp Beak. I caught a Fearow holding a Sharp Beak and now it is as powerful as my Sceptile!

Speed is doubled to 440 which outspeed pretty much anything not named Ninjask or Deoxys. This really can OHKO with set-up lots of things.
Rate!

Good. The defense should have more, but its really good. Bring the speed to 200 or 202. 200 + 1DD = outspeeding neutral base 100s like Sala and Slaking. 2DD outruns everything but electrode and ninjask - this includes jolteon and aerodactyl, ohkoing both. Crobat is a duh, but that was never a problem. Dugtrio mmay be, but w/e.

123gojj wrote:
This is for Emerald Version in case that matters. So far I got

{starmie} (Spd+Spc. Atk)
Ice Beam
Surf
Thunderbolt
Psycic
Psychic has bad coverage with everything else. Recover, rapid spin, thunderwave should be in that last spot for support.

{houndoom} (Spd+Spc Atk)
Crunch
Sunny Day
Solarbeam
Flamethrower
Pretty good unless you want to have a mixed Houndoom with Reversal.

{tyranitar} (Atk+Spd)
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Double-Edge
Ariel Ace
Double Edge isn't necessary - taunt, dragon dance could prove more useful.

{blissey} (Def+HP)
Softboiled
Toxic
Protect
Safeguard
Safegurad isn't nearly as good as Heal bell or aromatherapy. Switch out Protect for Seismic Toss or Counter.

{raichu} (Spd+Def)
Thunder Wave
Attract
Swagger
Thunderbolt
Parattractfusion. Good for what its intended.

{swampert} (Atk+Spc Atk)
Earthquake
Surf
Ice Beam
Mirror Coat
Rest/Yawn > Mirror Coat. The status could be welcome, but the healing could be more useful.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

i want to do battle tower with this 3 Pokemon

i want to get them all to 50 (one is 50 , other are 45)!
{aggron} sturdy,impish nature@(suggest item)
shock wave
iron tail
eurthquake
cut (i most learn somebody other cut to get off it , right?)
No - physical moves only. EQ, Iron Tail, Rock Slide, Double Edge (Rock Head is needed for the ability). @Leftovers.

{salamence} intimidate,bashfull@(suggest another item)
crunch
dragon claw
fly
fire blast
Brick Break > Fly - Fly is really bad, and brick break can take on normal types. Rash, hasty, naive natures are good.

{glalie} bashfull , innerfocus @ nevermeltice
hail
ice beam
headbutt
crunch
Hail hurts everyone on your team. Explosion would be nice if you can get it.

what can i do better?
Get rid of Glalie - switch it for a water type like Starmie, or Walrein. Golem > Aggron, as it can explode (and steel sucks as a type). Getting STAB in Earthquake is more important than STAB in a steel move.

here are my 3 strongest pokemon , what do you find of them?

{groudon} hardy nature
solarbeam
eurthquake
fire blast (has 8pp)
eruption
Too slow for eruption, the special attack is too low for Fire Blast, Solar Beam, and Eruption in general. Swords Dance/Bulk Up (really good as a wall), EQ, Rock Slide, and Rest is good.

{rayquaza} rash nature
extremesspeed
fly
hyperbeam
dragon dance
(i can catch another one , if i need another one)
2 moves are good - Extremespeed and Dragon Dance. Throw on EQ and Rock Slide, and you should be good. Or, go with Extremespeed, Dragon Claw, Fire Blast, and Crunch. The extremespeed priority is really needed.

{swampert} sassy nature
eurthquake
endeavor
surf
blizzard
Ice Beam > Blizzard (accuracy and pp reasons). Rest/Yawn > Endevour, just like the one I rated before you. Too slow for it, in my opinion.

i only own one game and one gameboy

More later.

Actually, for the guy who suggested Dream eater. It's unreliable because the purpose of the set is that you use Hypnosis, Calm mind up and kill the oponent. And continuing this, you get great succcees. Dream eater The opponent can switch out.

Choice band gives 1.5x Attack, while Silk Scarf and Sharp beak boost only 1.2x only one type moves.

Actually, the 20% increase is only courtesy of DP - in RSE, it was still 10% - so, your power for aerial ace was 66 as opposed to 60 original...

I have to go out and get a new computer, should be back in 6-7 hours.

I was thinking of going for competitive but I'm not sure...
Sally's moveset is pretty crappy, but that's beacuse I can't get the right moves for it.

Double Edge / Rock Slide (If I can get the Battle Points)
Dragon Claw (This is a SAtk so I'm not sure about it)
Flamethrower
Fly / Earthquake ((If I can get the TM)

Special Sweeper / Special Wall
{gardevoir} (M)
Melodie @ Leftovers
Modest (+ SAtk / - Atk )

84 HP / 252 SAtk / 172 Spd

Adamant (+ Atk / - SAtk)
