Okay, P-L alerted me that we are waaaaay behind in rates, so here I am again, rating your teams.
FatalFlaw wrote: Can you rate this Magnezone?
I'm still trying to decide whether to pump his DEF or SPDEF through his EVs.
Magnezone@Leftovers
Quiet, 200 HP, 200 SPDEF, 110 SPATK
-Thunderbolt
-Thunder Wave
-Gyro Ball
-Metal Sound
Magnet Pull
OKay, first off, Modest is a bettere nature. Substitute over Metal sound, and try Magnet Rise over Gyro Ball. Max out HP, and go for a 129/129 split def and Spec. Def
Thanks in advance.
halu102 wrote: Umbreon @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
Bold: 252 HP / 128 Defense / 128 Sp. Defense
-Mean Look
-Toxic
-Wish
-Baton Pass
(Regular Toxitrapper and Wish Passer)
Looks fine to me
---
Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Calm: 252 HP / 176 Defense / 82 Special Defense
-Substitute
-Aqua Ring
-Acid Armor
-Baton Pass
(Subber and Tank. One question, is it more common to sub up first then aqua ring? or the other way around. And does Aqua Ring prevent psuedo-hazing, like Roar and Whirlwind?)
Surf over substitute, you need an attacking move. And no, Aqua Ring does not prevent psuedo-hazing.
Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
Timid: 252 HP / 252 Speed / 6 Sp. Defense
-Substitute
-Nasty Plot
-Amnesia
-Baton Pass
(Sp. Tank and Nasty Plot BPer. Is Mew looked down upon that he shouldn't be used in wifi? Manaphy is more or less the same thing but water version, but I find him to be much more useful and he's usually in the OU bracket. If Mew is out of the question I was looking to Ambipom as backup, though I lose the sp wall.)
So I guess I'm not supposed to rate this?
EDIT: Replaced by Celebi at bottom.
---
Espeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
Impish: 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed / 6 HP
-Sunny Day ---> Shadow Ball
-HP Fire
-Psychic
-Baton Pass
(Special Sweeper, more like a Jolteon psychic variant. Also, is there a lot of psychic opposition to warrant HP Bug instead?)
EDIT: I decided to replace Sunny Day with Shadow ball, because i found sunny day redundant with Celebi as the Calm Mind passer.
Well, Espeon has no use for Baton Pass without Calm Mind, So get rid of HP Fire, as its so-so without Sunny Day.
---
Jolteon @ Leftovers
Ability: Volt Absorb
Impish 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed / 6 HP
-Thunderbolt
-HP Ice
-Agility
-Baton Pass
(Can BP agility, though I'm thinking Thunderwave might be more useful, not too sure. Also one of the main Sp. Sweepers)
Good
---
Glaceon @ Leftovers
Ability: Snow Cloak
Calm: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 Sp. Defense
-Ice Beam ---> Protect
-Yawn
-Wish
-Baton Pass
(Yawner and Wish Passer. I'm not too sure about Ice Beam since Jolteon already has HP Ice)
EDIT: Took out Ice beam since Jolteon had HP Ice, sacrificing the STAB as well. However, I feel that protect has good synergy with yawn and wish for stalling.
To be honest, I think that Glaceon doesn't fit as a Baton Passer, try
Glaceon@Leftovers
Modest
252 HP, 129 Spec Atk, 129 Spec Def
Substitute
Ice Beam
Shadow Ball
Wish
Oh, and my general strategy, is to trap or yawn, then put up the appropriate wall then nasty plot as much as possible usually 2 is good and put up the appropriate sweeper.
I'm still very very new to wifi battle and was wondering if a BP team like this is even viable at all. Again, I look forward to any feedback, and think it's wonderful you guys are review others teams. Thanks again.
EDIT: Decided to replace Mew with Celebi since Mew is usually in the Ubers.
Celebi @ Leftovers
Bold 252hp / 128def / 128 sp def
-Substitute
-Leech Seed/Recover
-Calm Mind
-Baton Pass
(A Calm Mind passer. Only debate I have is recover or leech seed, though I'm leaning towards leech seed. Can also double as a special wall with the 101 subs.)
[color=orange] Looks good, but I'd go with 252 Def, 129 Spd, 129 HP
St.Cool wrote: Okay! Feel free to rate this current team, where I could improve, etc etc.
Infernape
-Calm Mind
-Flamethrower
-Close Combat
-Flare Blitz (Would like a better move here)
Really unorganized, but Focus Blast over Close Combat, and Solarbeam over Flare Blitz. Leftovers for Item
Garchomp
-Crunch
-Fire Fang (Different move here)
-Earthquake
-Dragon Claw
I'd say Stone Edge over Fire Fang, and then you have a choice. Either keep Crunch and use choice band, or get Swords Dance and use leftovers or Life Orb.
Lucario
-Aura Sphere
-Close Combat
-Dragon Pulse (?)
-Sword Dance
Again, really unorganized. As a rule of thumb, don't use any attack stat upping moves on a mixed sweeper. Try Blaze Kick or Extremespeed over Swords Dance, and Shadow Ball, Shadow Claw, or Crunch over Close Combat. Lefties for item
Porygon
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Tri Attack
-Sharpen (?)
for one, evolve it! Two, Nasty Plot over Sharpen. Three, Lefties for item.
Gyarados
-Surf
-Rain Dance (?)
-Dragon Dance (?)
-Bite (?)
Gyarados has no use with Special Moves. Keep Dragon Dance, and then delete ALL the other moves for Earthquake, Stone Edge and then waterfall/Aqua Tail. Leftovers again
For the last spot, Im having trouble thinking of what would best compliment the others and their attacks.
Suggestions are obviously wanted.
Okay, you have two Special Sweepers, two Physical Sweepers, and a mixed Sweeper. How about a tank/staller? Steelix can do some stalling and PP draining with
Steelix@Leftovers
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Protect
Toxic
Really nice Defense/PP draining.
Another option is
Swampert @ Leftovers
Curse
Earthquake
Waterfall
Stone Edge
Though, thats more or less a defensive Gyarados.
Maybe consider the Regi's (except Regigas), Suicune, Miltoic, just look around, you'll find something.
Thank you.

Team Rose wrote: I'm curious to see how my team stacks up so here it goes. My team is, for the most part, designed to counter ubers, since I despise their use in a serious test of skill (thats just me though).
Tyranitar@Hard Stone
Lonely---Sand Stream
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Crunch
I could probably use a better item, but I ran out of good ones when it was his turn to get one. Also I know I have 2 rock attacks, I want to replace one but I'm not sure with what yet, ofcourse I'm open for sugestions.
Aerial Ace/Brick Break > Stone Edge. Leftovers/Choice Band for the item.
Honchkrow@Scope Lens
Hardy---Super Luck
Night Slash
Dark Pulse
Drill peck
Roost
He is intended to get alot of critical hits. With the scope lens, super luck(it took 4 eggs to get one with it), and night slash; now I don't know what the exact odds are for getting a critical hit with all these but it does happen way more often than normal.
Yes, looks good, except dark pulse. Plus, you can't hit steels or rocks, so put on steel wing to deal with rock types.
Garchomp@Lax incense
Sassy---Sand Veil
Earthquake
Dragon Pulse
Dig
Dragon Rush
The Atk > Sp.Atk. Go with Dragon Claw for accuracy. Fire FFang to take out steels. Dragon Dance to power up, and Earthquake for double stab. You can go with Rock Slide (EQ + Rock Slide has 2 resists - claydol and flygon), crunch/shadow claw (brick break + crunch/shadow claw has no resists, from what is see). Lots of options, but go with what i reccomended (Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, fire fang, EQ).
Metagross@Leftovers
Gentle---Clear Body
Earthquake
Zen Headbutt
Meteor Mash
Psychic
Something > Psychic. AerialAce, Brick Break, Agility, or Explosion.
Spiritomb@Big Root
Timid---Pressure
Faint Attack
Hypnosis
Dream Eater
Dark Pulse
He's mainly a lead-off guy, just to get a feel of what I'm up against.
Why not pressure abuse? Substitute, Spite, Calm Mind (special wall as well), Rest/Shadow Ball/ Shock Wave.
Hitmonchan@Shell Bell
Sassy---Iron Fist
Thunder Punch
Fire Punch
Ice Punch
Sky Uppercut
I like his wide variety of attack types, plus iron fist boosts their power (I'm not sure sky uppercut gets the boost but its still a good move). He is much better in the 4th generation.
Good. Looks good.
Still to be done:

This is my first attempt at making a pokemon team after looking at some move sets please tell me if its ok and if im missing any information.
Pokemon Diamond Team
Arcanine / Nature: Adamant

Here we go.
Torkoal, nature: Serious
item: Leftovers, ability: white smoke
EVs Def 252, sp def 252, hp 4
Heatwave
toxic
rest
amnesia
Your basic toxi-tank torkoal, nothing to different.
Dragonite, Nature: modest
item: ??, Ability: inner focus
EVs sp atk 252, spd 252, hp 4
surf
thunderbolt
dragon pulse
thunderwave
special sweeper, he has surf in place of ice beam or flamethrower because I have no water pokemon on this team and a water attack is more important than fire(which torkoal already has) or ice(which is super effective against types I've already got covered by the rest of the team).
Miltank, Nature: Careful
Item:??, ability: thick fat
EVs Hp 252, atk 129, sp def, 129
milk drink
heal bell
zen headbutt
bodyslam
A healer and partial tank with some damage capability, the paralysis from body slam is always handy and zen headbutts in it with a chance to make 'em flinch.
rhyperior, nature: serious
item: wide lens/ scope lens, ability:solid rock
EVs atk 252, def 129, hp 129
Rock polish
earthquake
megahorn/ shadow claw
stone edge
A physical sweeper and sponge, wide lens is there because both mega horn and stone edge have less than perfect accuaracy, and since stone edges' PP is only 5(still a measly 8 even when maxed out with PP ups) its' vital that the attacks find their mark every time.
i'm not sure whether to give him shadow claw and scope lens and try and turn him into a critical hitter or go with the more traditional moveset.
Mawile, nature; adamant
Item: leftovers, ability: intimidate
Iron head
crunch
stockpile
swords dance
A physical sweeper and semi-tank with stockpile and leftovers, I knw there are many pokemon better suited to this role but Mawile remains my favourite(if you could'nt tell by my avatar) and as such, I must use him.
Breloom, Nature:jolly
item: poison orb, Ability: poison heal
EVs atk 252, spd 252, hp 4
Spore
leech seed
focus punch
seed bomb
Your basic breloom moveset. a drainer combined with a physical sweeper.
Also potentially, I was considering this for a replacement for any of the others.
Raticate, nature: adamant
Item: poison orb, ability: guts
EVs atk 252, spd 252, hp4
Swords dance
super fang
facade
crunch
While some one like machamp has higher attack power, raticate gains STAB damage from facade. combine this with facades double base damage from poison orb and the 50% attack increase from guts, plus a first turn swords dance, and raticate can deal out a whopping amount of damage before subcumbing to the poison.
I was also thinking of trying this same tactic with Swellow
Swellow, nature: adamant
item:poison orb, ability: guts
EVs atk 252, spd 252, hp 4
Facade
roost
steel wing
aerial ace
This works better than raticate in that swellow can use roost to regain hp when the poison starts to take its' toll. However, it is worse than raticate in that swellow has no way of further boosting its' attack as raticate can.
what do you think?

Modest is fine. As is the moveset. The EVs aren't good though - a bit out of speed and more into defenses so it can take a hit.

Dragonite @ Leftovers
Brave | 252 Atk / Don't Know Rest
- Substitute

- Fire Punch
Go with Flamethrower > fire punch to take down the walls in skarmory and forretress, and other high defense steels. EVs - about 48 in special attack, the rest in HP and defenses. Don't waste the speed- the lower speed may help with the sub. More defenses help keep the sub alive even longer..

Calm mind + recover > tri-attack and shadow ball or T-bolt + ice beam. So, its one combo. if you keep t-bolt and ice beam, you have few resistances, but you may not inflict that much status. With shadow ball and tri-attack, you will have status, but uncontrolled and you will have more type problems against rocks and steels.

Lol Modest Its a tank it takes hits its not a special sweeper and whats the point of modest it has max def and if it takes a hit from a special it can recover with softboiled and it has natural cure so there's no point of aromatherapy calm mind or counter since sesmic toss is better. it's the same blissey marriland on youtube uses. ps would it be nescessary to have perfect iv's on skarmory atk or spd or perfect iv at all

We have this ( . ) thing called a point which is used to seperate sentences. It is useful if you are a forum member and don't want to get yelled at.

If I were you, I´d discard the idea of having any Legendary, I would go with Salamence, Metagross, Gallade, Porygon-Z (Preferably with Trick Room via Rememberer), Rhyperior (he and Metagross get the upper hand in Trick Room) and Roserade/Blaziken.

Keyboard froze last night. Sorry
I might make a grammer thread just so we can function better. Remember, not all of us are Americans. There are those that take english as an alternative language.

Earthquake
Avalanche/Iron Tail/Brick Break
Double-Edge
Aerial Ace
I swap Move #2 around a lot, This guy has 495 Def, 314 ATT, and I love him.
make that 4HP EVs. Rock Slide > Aerial Ace. Iron head in the second spot.
{flygon) @Shell Bell [Levitate]-lvl 82 -.-
[Rash], [Trained in-game, have no clue] Got no clue as to DV's.
Dragon Claw
Crunch
Fire Blast
Earthquake
Meh, he's not the best, Fire blast for steels.
Looks good actually. If you give it the ev decreasing berries, you could retrain.
Sceptile @Big Root. [Overgrow]
[Naive], [Another in-game] Again, no clue.
Giga Drain
Energy Ball
Focus Blast
Dragon Pulse
He can hit fast and hard.
Trust me, best as a sub-seeder. Fast substitute, excellent draining. Substitute, Leech Seed, energy ball/leef blade, HP Ice/X-scissor. If you get hp ice, go with the special side. otherwise, x-scissor and leef blade. X-scissor and hp ice have the same purpose - take out grasses which are immune to leech seed.
--Possible Additions---
[Bastiodon] @ [Apicot Berry]. [Sturdy]
[Careful], [250DEF,250SP.DEF,10HP] Hopefully between 25 and 30 in defenses.
[Rest]
[Iron Defense]
[Endure]
[Fissure]
2 rock/steels? No. Please don't.
[Dusknoir] @ [Leftovers]. [Pressure]
[Careful], [220DEF, 220SP.DEF, 70HP]
[Toxic]
[Mean Look]
[Substitute]
[Focus Punch]
Mean Look/Curse, Toxic/W-o-W, Shadow Punch, Focus Punch. Trap and toxify, or let them switch and you get a free hit.
Anyway, post suggestions please!

1. I am using this team for in-game, for the BATTLE TOWER, not only aim at beating the Tower Tycoon, but getting a 100 win streak in order to get a new star. i still haven't start my game and so the following is just my proposed team.
2. Also, I think i am lazy to deliberately EV train my Pokemon.
3. I assume i dun hv any BPs to buy those luxury items and useful TMs, like CB, TM7x Stone edge. (but u can still suggest me to use those items and TMs)
4. Can you also please suggest which one to put at First?
5. Those mystic water and etc. now boost 20%, not 10%, so i think they are usable
20% is still not enough, especially when it only benefits one move
Gyarados @ Mystic Water
Intimidate | A "not bad" nature
A "not bad" EV spread (at least 0 in SA)

- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Avalanche
@Liechi berry . or @Leftovers. Ice fang > Avalanche - you won't survive, may as well go with the flinch. Speaking of flinch, better go with a kings rock. Best defense is a good offense for him. Lead with him as he has intimaidate, and can't really be brought in at other times.
Infernape @ Blackbelt
Blaze | a "not bad" nature
A Balanced EV spread
- Overheat
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Calm Mind / Swords Dance if i hv enough money
Flamethrower, Rock Slide, EQ, Sky Uppercut.
Blissey @ Leftovers
which ability should i choose? | a "not bad" nature
slightly more EV in def and 0 in Atk
- Softboiled
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot
Calm Mind > Grass Knot
PixelTwist wrote: Well, here's my team. I don't know which 'category' (OU, UU, NU) each of them fall under, but if you could tell me that would be great (that way I know which ones I'd need to change out if I fight someone who wants to go UU only).
Mr. Mime @ (not sure)
Timid | Soundproof
252 HP, 252 Sp. Atk, 6 Spd
-Psychic
-Calm Mind
-Barrier
-Baton Pass
**Every team I have has to have a Mr. Mime, as it's my favorite pokémon. Obviously, he's a Baton Passer, but has Psychic incase he's on his own for some reason. Picked Soundproof over Filter because if I need to, I can always Baton Pass should a Bug, Ghost or Dark pokémon show up.
Looks good. More 128 speed, 128 Sp.Atk. @Leftovers.
Ludicolo @ Big Root
Modest | Swift Swim
252 HP, 129 Def, 129 Sp. Def
-Giga Drain
-Leech Seed
-Toxic
-Rain Dance
**Just a normal drainer. With this new Big Root item, I can probably get more of a boost using Giga Drain instead of relying on Leftovers to get a boost. Same with Swift Swim over Rain Dish.
Rain dish ability. mega drain > giga drain, for pp.
Magnezone @ (not sure)
Timid | Sturdy
252 HP, 129 Def, 129 Sp. Def
-Thunder
-Flash Cannon
-Magnet Rise
-Explosion
**Thunder can be exchanged for Thunderbolt, but my intention is to switch to Magnezone while it's still raining. With Magnet Rise, we get rid of his Ground weakness. Just a Special Sweeper.
Trust me, you won't. T-bolt > thunder. @Leftovers.
Linoone @ Salac Berry
Jolly | Gluttony
6 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spd
-Belly Drum
-Substitute
-Extremespeed/Return
-Surf
**The plan is to Substitute, then Belly Drum, that should kick in the Salac Berry if not already from Gluttony, then sweep. I have found that Linoone can have both Extremespeed and Gluttony, as I've got one on my team right now (he actually has 6 HP, 126 Atk, 126 Def, 252 Spd because his IVs are bad since I got him in a trade).
Not surf - shadow ball instead.
Honchkrow @ (not sure)
Jolly | Super Luck/Insomnia
6 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spd
-Drill Peck
-Thunder Wave
-Attract/Taunt
-Night Slash/Sucker Punch
**I've got two ideas here. Super Luck/Attract/Night Slash, for the increased critical hits, or Insomnia/Taunt/Sucker Punch, for the higher base attack, but requiring a set up to make sure it works. Just a physical sweeper.
Not sucker punch, roost in the third slot though.
Drifblim @ (not sure)/Some Berry
Modest | Aftermath/Unburden
252 Def, 129 Sp. Def, 129 Spd
-Shadow Ball
-Silver Wind
-Gust
-Substitute
**I want to use a Drifblim because I like them so much, but their movepool isn't great. It's between Drifblim and Mismagius.
Go with stockpile, shadow ball, charge beam and baton pass. It makes an excellent passer.
Okay, that's all. :3

From this point on, all teams/movesets must include the following in order to get rated
Pokemon's name
(Its Trait if that Pokemon has more than one)
Its Held Item
Its Nature
Its EVs (at the very least, a general range)
Its Moveset
I will delete all future teams that do not have all of these.
