It's nice to have the extra background, and the elder god does provide an excellent all-seeing referee, but it doesn't solve the problem of different power levels, and the insanity points sound like they'd cause more trouble than good, since playing an insane character is actually much harder than it seems. Please take a day or two to think over the idea and brainstorm how to keep it fun and fair for everyone- remember that most people are going to want their characters to win, and unless your rules are tight, they'll feel like they can do anything. It could be a fun game to play, but it isn't something to rush into.

A few possible balance suggestions:
-Change the game so everyone is of the same race, with the same system of magic, so you can keep characters under control. Less character freedom for the players, but you can also flat-out get rid of the problem of massive superattacks.
-Have everyone submit a detailed character profile, complete with all their powers, and personally go through each one to tell them what powers they can and can't have. You'll need to be very involved in this to make the changes, and then make sure people aren't sneaking in new powers that aren't on their list.
-Use a basic D20 system and include stats/hitpoints/abilities in the game. Harder to manage, and not necessarily as fun online, but probably the most fair.

OK, I have a RP that I would like to play, and since the last one like this failed miserably, I will try differently.

Name: The Keyblade War
Genre: Kingdom Hearts (Anybody who has no idea of what Kingdom Hearts is should climb out from under their rock)

Setting: A mix between Final Fantasy and Disney worlds

Plot: Based on the rumored "Keyblades Wars," (You know, from the secret ending that is not really secret because it is floating aroung the web like something that floats really well) Rpers create their character and use their favorite keyblade. Pretty much they unite or divide into teams or whatever, but in the end fight the big bad boss who-ever-he-is.

Additional Rules: All keyblades are of equal power so that people aren't over powered and you may duel wield.

Another big fighting RP Again, I must ask that you insure you have a plot, and try to make it so the entire roleplay isn't fighting. If it's run as a sort of team tournament, you should have an impartial referee. If it's plot-y enough (IE there's at least two posts of not fighting for every post of fighting) it has the go-ahead. Make sure you summarize or link to this keyblade war thing for reference, and add spoiler warnings for those of us who want to see the ending on our own

I will clarify stuff for you.

It will not be a turnament. There will be a plot, though Rpers will be allowed to make their own aliances. As with the keyblade war, well there is no place that I can reference to as it is a rumur about a war where every body uses keyblades. I personaly think that there is no spoilers that, at least none that would give away the ending of KHII or that wont be anounced right away with KHIII.

Howerever, if you still think that it would be wise to have a warning, then I will not doubt you. After all, you are a moderator, not me. Psypoke does not make crappy psypokians into moderators.

I mistook your meaning, I think. I thought you were referring to the content of the special end movie (sealing all worlds in hard, sealing all worlds and completing the journal in normal, I think) which I haven't seen. If the plot is based on rumors, and doesn't directly reference KHII or pre-release KHIII content, just make sure to explain it for people who haven't heard said rumors.

Sounds cute, Flarey, but make sure you have some sort of plotline (even if it is pretty simple and basic) before you begin, so people will have something to do, instead of just talking aimlessly for awhile then wandering off and abandoning the RP As long as there's some sort of plot guideline when the RP starts, you have a go.

Setting: It'll start out in Golden Rod City

Plot: In Golden Rod City trainers will meet up somewhere in the city and decide to travel together. Fighting is not necessary but not discouraged either. Possibilities are open to everything [just travelling, battlling, competitions] after the initial meeting and getting on the road.

Additional Rules: No tower quotes, keep everything PG-13 or go to the PMs.

Basic pokemon RPs are pretty popular, and I think we could use another one, but their popularity also puts a lot of responsibility on their creators to be active and dutiful mini-mods. You seem like a serious roleplayer, and I'm sure you'll make a good RP runner someday, but I'd like it if you could spend a week or two getting to know the forum before you start an RP of your own, please.

Plot: Team Inferno members RP with Team Solar members. They choose their own Pokemon (any stage), and then leave their base to go to the outside worlds. Each Team eventually meets the other, and engages in combat. The Teams' Pokemon do not have to be the same type of Pokemon as the name. (Ex: Team Inferno does not have to choose Grass type only) All members must be on the same Team and can not hurt their team mates unless they really wish to.

Plot: A group of pokemon rangers who search unexplored places for new and exotic pokemon.
Edit: They bring the pokemon they found to a holding facility where they will be safe from team rocket as this RP is set before team magma and team aqua
After a few missions to get used to the system a new paradise of rare pokemon will be discoverd and the team must work harder than ever to save them from team rocket

Your application seems to be pretty basic, Lapras, and there are also several grammar/spelling mistakes, so I'm not sure how long you've spent preparing it. It's an interesting idea, I'm actually quite fond of "unusual" pokemon RPs, but I'd like to see a bit more effort before I give the okay to start a roleplay to someone who looks quite new to the forum, even if you were here before. Give me some more info on the plot, and remember to use a spellchecker before you post, if you're prone to typos or forgetting to capitalize "I".

Yeah..I'm like, bored and stuff.

RP Name: Pokemon City
RP Genre: ...Pokemon, duh.

Setting: Um...Pokemon City, which is an entire city (buildings and all) made especially for Pokemon.

Plot: Past its sunny exterior, inside Pokemon City is a cruel, dark, and deceptive place. There's crime and poverty blah blah blah. There's also a "gang" war between the five "gangs" of Pokemon City (which happen to have the exact same names of the Psypoke Teams, lol). Of course there are no guns, I mean, they're Pokemon, they fight with their own atatcks and stuff. Anyway, they fight over anything; power, territory, whatever. The war though seems to be slowing down, but who knows when it'll spark up again...DUN DUN DUN!

Extra Rules:

+Obviously you'll be RPing as a Pokemon, and we're in a city, so try to be reasonable in your choice (like, not something like Wailord...)
+No ubers of course, and PD Pokemon are allowed
+You can only have 4 attacks; at least 1 must be natural, and you can only have 1 egg move. The attacks are for if you get in a fight with someone from another "gang".
+It is not mandetory to be in one of the "gangs", and you can quit/join one at any time.
+If you (the actual you) are on a team, it'd be best to be on that team, but it's not mandetory, and it'd be best to be a Pokemon that your team represents.

Setting: Tellius (Wiki entry); will begin on the Daein/Crimea border

Plot: Three years after the events in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, the northwestern corner of Begnion broke of into a new country, named Othila. Seven years after that, the people in Othila are growing restless, and there's talk of an invasion, and possibly another war.

Additional Rules:
General RP rules, no duh...
Characters should follow the standard FE character lines to an extent (like, no mounted swordmasters, no characters with more than three weapon types (apart from mages/sages; they've got magic and staves/knives))
No gore. The game isn't gory, and so the RP won't be either.

Now, I don't know how many people are going to join this, but I don't think a lot will. In that case, it'll become a one-on-one between MoonGale and I.
