"Hardly any armor in the world can hold back an angry Luppan."

"I believe you know my name."

"Sure we do, it's Wolfy, right? Anywho, I'm Lark, nice to meet ya."
He held up a bag of money. "I think this is enough to find a warm place to stay for the night, and a hot meal." He jiggled the bag around for emphasis.
"We'll search for jobs in the morning."

"Sounds like there's just enough to get you robbed and killed by a theif."

"The name's Beav too." But no one heard/cared.'

Wolfie or The Wolfman actually isn't half bad.

DX looked up.

"It's DX. I may be able to control the forest cats enough to prevent them from attacking at all, but I'm not sure. It depends on exactly how wild they are.

"I am Mornex of the Mugatian, and as long as Ferrass Jarrad lives, and there is a containment for my spirit, I shall fight with you to the end. But be warned, I might want to do things my way sometimes."

"The archer must stay out of sight. The Luppan have always had a rivalry with the archers. Stay out here with Mornex" Beav said as he walked up to a bush in between 2 trees.

Jeez, guys! You're all moving on SOOOO FAST! Little Ching has no time to get a grip........
So we're visiting a small town and then going to the Lippan tribe, yeah?

"I'm not easily seen." added Ching. "Since I'm so tiny, I could hide in.....uh......Beav's cloak, if that's OK with him. Lippans are okay with Petaghians, right? As long as they don't try to eat me, I have nothing against them either."
Ching smiled sweetly, her bronze curls bouncing up and down.
"I know a spell to put stuff to sleep, too. Doesn't work on Devils, and exhausts me, but on forest cats it'll make 'em snore...."

Chingling

no chingeh, the mage is going to put a cloaking spell over all these devils, to keep them hidden, then we're going to lippan, then we're going to come back, take some leftover devil, and sell it in the next town for scrap.

"No, Lark comes with us, he's on a quest to get a tribal orb from each of the 18 tribes, so he has to ask the elders, I know the lippan are friendlier when they're in their own tribe, and the code forbids harming an innocent....am I right beav?"

"He can go. Just be on your guard. The Luppan code does not say anything about harming archers, but I don't think they'll attack. The Luppan tribe has been on guard ever since word of the divls spread. The elders have been asked questions all the time, but being from different tribes, all we have to is walk in, the the elders will ask us to talk to them."

Jet responded to Merek's question. "My name is Jet and I have a minor cloaking spell that will only lasts for 10 minutes but it should do. Let's go." Jet started walking further into the woods.

Merek was happy, everyone was getting along, so he could drop his tough guy attitude.

"ok then, what are we waiting for? let's go" he said as he strapped on his pouch and started walking towards the dark part of the trees.

"Stand back!" Beav shouted as he slashed the huge bush revealing a secret pathway.

"exellent, let's go" Merek said happily. "after you beav my good man"

he was happy, but the tunnel smelled rank, it smelt evil....

Lark stepped inside the tunnel and cringed.

What's Beav come up with?... There's something wrong with this tunnel...

"... Anyone got a torch?... Oooh, Jet, do something magicy and light this place up!"

idiots... forgetting I exist again...
Vander lit a fireball, and molded it into a large flattened cone, about half the height of a man.
This should be bright enough for them to see what they're doing.
"Hey, mageboy, now's your turn. see if you can levitate this in front of us. If it doesn't show us the way, at least it will flambe anything hostile in front of us."
Vander created three more fireballs, and pulled at them, elongating them in to staves, each with a small glowing ball of flame on top. Pinching lightly along the shafts of the staves, he hardened them, so that they would nt burn.
"Here. These will also help. Mageboy, this one is yours. Lintaran, one for you. I'll keep this one. The rest of you can follow the larger light."
But this cave.... how did Beav know it was here in the first place..?
Vander turned around. There was no light of an entrance behind them.
Uh oh.

"Turn those things out!" Beav said, "I know the way, just trust me"

I know this cave is here because it is the guarded entrance to the Luppan Tribe.

"No one appear armed! It will not matter if I'm with you or not, if you are armed, you will be attacked and most likely killed instantly!"

"c'mone beav, after vander went to all that trouble? they're not weapons...they're torches"

This guy attacked us... but now he wants to lead us blindly into what is unknown to us. very well.
"Nah. It's all good. I can make em back in an instant. Besides, whatever will keep us safe."
Vander slashed down with his hand. The fire items instantly dissipated, all except one staff, plunging the group into darkness.
"Here Beav. What if you carry this one just to let us all walk more easily? The Luppans won't bother you if you're the one armed will they?"

"I don't know, but if they see the light from the end of the tunnel, they will send the Luppan Army, some of the toughest soldiers in Magothica."

"Shall we proceed?" He said walking forward.

Jet had a bad feeling entering the tunnel. He hated shortcuts, there was always something to ruin their purpose, thus not making it a shortcut. "Wolfie, can I please make freakin' light, I feel like I'm run into a wall and break a beautiful face. I can't have that happen, there has to be at last one handsome man in this fellowship."

"But I'm still here." Beav mused.

"But seriously, we can't have anylight, as they will see us, and assemble the army."

"Look Beav, no offence, but I've had just about enough of your lippan army...I don't think any tribe in their right mind would start pulling troops out

the barracks and getting them ready for war, just because of a bit of light" Merek was frustrated. "can't you howl a greeting or something?"

Merek didn't much care if the lippanese would approve or not, but he gathered a bit of light and stored it in his pouch....he didn't like the dark.

"You'll never understand!" Beav shouted, "None of you! You think you know everything about every tribe, but you're wrong! You assume how a tribe works, but let me tell you something Merek, when you're getting you're butts kicked, don't expect me to help you!"

He walked back towards the enterance of the cave, "Good luck with your failing."

Again, I'm not leaving, just more drama.

Merek had just about enough of beav's dram. he decided not to go after him.

He knew enough about the lippan tribe; they were the protectors of all forms of life, and they wouldn't harm

anyone innocent.

"alright, bye beav, good luck" he said cheerily.

but now he had a dilema, he needed to light the way with something that wouldn't be mistaken for a weapon. he

had an idea...but it was really hard to do.

here goes nothing , he took the light out of his pouch, and he let it become suspended squarely in front of

his eyes. then he concentrated on pulling the light toward his eyes...it worked..now he had a beam of light

coming from his eyes.

"Let's go"

Had enough of the drama? you could have just said so.

Beav watched the troop, then he felt along the wall for the secret shortcut to the tribe. When the fellowship got to his tribe, he would already be there.

Remeber, I'm coming back to the fellowship, so don't make it too hard for me to come back.
