I think I used the Hurl filter, desaturation and colouring. Looking back, it's one of my favourite works, and it was even made before I found brush sets!
Wow, a two-for-one deal!
Niagra Falls, currently 4th on my list of places that I must visit before I kick the bucket
ANOTHER Karel signature ^^

I thought for sure you had some brilliant brushes for that one, but once again it proves that good BGs often come from defaults. I also think it's one of your best works. Everything just fits. I mean, it's just like I would've pictured the void, and especially with Deoxys in it. You used a softglow on the Deoxys, right?
For your your first new one:
You probably did something to it other than adding text (or did you?), but I've seen signatures like this before and I'm having a hard time rating them. So I won't. It looks cool though.
Second:
You used the same render as the 'slice and dice' one, right? This one bothers me. Overall, it looks like a good flow, but upon closer inspection, the lighting seems kinda.. a bit everywhere. I like it when the light has one definate source, but perhaps that's just me. What catches me is the simplicity, though the BG is kinda plain. Text's OK, but I'd switch the lines, move them a bit closer to each other and done the entire 'Saint of Swords' in lowercase. Overall, not your best, I'm afraid. But signatures are getting harder to rate.

Better?
Oh, and yeah, I did run it through a few filters. It's called a stock-image sig, iirc. There's a good tutorial for it on GIMPtalk.

Gee, you didn't have to change all just because of me Thanks though.
Anyway, it looks SOOO much better now. The text I love, and you made Karel a bit clearer in the colors, and visibilized a bit more of the BG. Am I right? Wonderfully done. To me, it looks a lot better, but that doesn't mean it is better
Oh, and I've heard about stock sigs and I saw that tutorial. But I couldn't be bothered to check what it was, to be honest. What is it? You take a picture of a landscape, and make it signature-worthy?
PS 1: What's iirc?
PS 2: Are you officially a member of GTalk?

Eheh. To honest, it isn't much more impressive than that. ^^;;
'course, the advantage is that you can finally create a sig from scratch, if you use your photos!
1. IIRC = If I Recall Correctly
2. I'm not yet, though I might soon.

Because I'm sick of posting the same message five times on five different forums.
btw, the link in the comments links to the original drawing, done in art class.

I get what you mean about posting comments everywhere. It's tough
What can I say? The inked one looks better than the original one, the shading looks more thought of. But I don't like the color of the inked version. Good job digitalizing it and all, really cool. How do you do it in GIMP? Or was it Paint?

Yeah. I think I went a little too "ooooold" with the bone colour.
And yes, it was GIMP. I think I'd be having post-traumatic stress syndrome if I tried to do that in Paint.

Mmm, thanks!
New sig:
It's based off a really nice bit in the 2006 version of the War of the Worlds where the tripods are grabbing humans out of the water for *spoilers*.
Watch the film. Seriously.

Just Google it or something. I don't know where to find the attack backgrounds, and I'm not going to spend time and effort finding that information out for someone who can just as easily look it up herself with no trouble at all.
