Okay, so I was never much of a John Mayer fan up until his last album. All his old stuff was so poppy, I couldn't stand it.
But his NEW album, "Continuum," is unbelievably good. John Mayer abandoned his popiness and went full-on blues. And then I saw him live, got blown away, and then bought his blues trio CD, "TRY!" and got blown away all over again.
Any other John Mayer fans?

John Mayer uses guitar hax. Have you seen his live, acoustic performance of 'Waiting on the World to Change' on VH1? It's amazing. Some of his songs are not my favorites, but the soul he puts into it is what's amazing.

I actually like all his music, but Continuum and Try! are my favourite too. His live stuff is unbelievable, and I definitly like his change to blues.

Glad to see some other Johnny fans! Man, that guy is good . . . "Who Did You Think I Was" is my current guitar project.

"Waiting on the World To Change" is probably my favorite one-string guitar solo of all time (not that I know too many others, lol) . . .
Either one of you guys have his "Village Sessions" EP?

Yes I have it. Some of the songs I like, some of them I like less, but I like it overall. The songs on The Village Sessions definitly seem to have a different feel than his other works.

Not to step on any toes (XD) but I don't like JM.
I liked "Bigger than My Body" and "Clarity" but that was it. =/ Sorry...
