The Mario series sound ok. Also note that Rosalina's likely to be in, as she's suddenly appeared in lots of spin-off games and has a huge fanbase considering how short she's been around. Also, maybe Koopa, or Hammer Bros, or something like that. Nintendo probably want really iconic characters to appear in this next game.
DK series, yeah, I agree. I wouldn't be too surprised to see Rool there too.
Yoshi series sounds good.
Wario series sounds good. Although I kinda consider Waluigi being in the Mario series, cause he hasn't really appeared in any Wario games.
Legend Of Zelda sounds fine. Maybe some more characters, cause I mean, it's a big series. Also, Toon Link is surprisingly popular; they'll keep a Link clone, although they probably won't have both. And they will probably give them better movesets as well. They've got Deku Leaves, Skull Hammers, Bombchus and all that stuff; they don't need to have the same moveset as Link.
Metroid, I agree.
Kirby series sounds good. Maybe some more characters because he's under the same company as smash bros. Knuckle Joe, Lololo, The Yarn Prince guy, people like that.
Starfox, I agree, but Falco should be there too. Falco isn't just a clone of Fox; you might notice that he's several tiers higher than him (whereas Fox and Wolf are pretty much side-by-side on the tier list). Falco focuses more on multi-hitting moves and combos, instead of Fox, who relies more on his fast mobility and hard-hitting moves. Plus, Falco doesn't have the shine, which is a character-defining move that Fox and Wolf have. Falco's a very popular character, and chances are he'll be kept. Wolf and Krystal, agreed.
Pokemon: did you mispell Jigglypuff as Wigglytuff? Jigglypuff is much more iconic and world-famous than Wigglytuff, and makes up half of the "cutesey" side of Pokemon, the other being Pikachu. Having Mewtwo back wouldn't be too unexpected, as he probably had the most number of peopel pissed off when he was cut out. Him and Lucario are quite similar, sure, but they're both iconic, popular characters and are therefore likely to be in. Blaziken... eh, no. He's not nearly as iconic enough outside of the competitive world, and having him without Sceptile and Swampert as well would be kinda weird. Also, same with Axew; it's more likely to be Zoroark, who was the first Pokemon revealed. If anything, the Pokemon Trainer is likely to be with the Hoenn starters, to promote the remakes that will be coming out around that time when SSB4 does. Personally I want Torchic, Grovyle, Swampert, but that's hugely open to opinion.
Earthbound, I think Ness is just too famous to quit now. He was one of the veterans, for a start, and has quite a big fanbase. Just cause he has no new games coming up doesn't mean they will cut him out; unlike Roy or Young Link, Ness has been in the past three games, so even if he has no upcoming games, he will still be popular enough to stay in. Lucas and Porky I agree. Although I'd be surprised if there are any more; the Earthbound series has really staled.
F-Zero: Sorry, but Captain Falcon is arguably the most popular character out of the entire smash bros roster, so leaving him is out of the question. End of.
Fire Emblem: Marth was the original Fire Emblem character, and the protagonist of the upcoming games. If anything, Ike, Roy and Lyn are the fillers. But Fire Emblem is a popular series, and Ike is probably one of the most popular characters in brawl (on wifi, he's definitely the most used). Ike and Marth are very likely to appear again, and Roy and Lyn also have a good chance.
Retro characters sound good. Making a moveset for Little Mac will be very difficult; he's a boxer with no special powers... However he's quite popular so is likely to be in. Mr. Game & Watch and the Ice Climbers are popular enough to reappear again, and Pit will almost definitely be back to promote the new Kid Icarus game, possibly with Palutena, Medusa and new, significant characters from that game. Nintendo might make a character based on Pac-Man or Tetris, or something like that that seems impossible. It would provide a nice "WTF" factor that games kinda need now.
Pikmin sounds good.
R.O.B.: I really like R.O.B., and I really want him in the next smash bros, but unfortunately it's true; he's just not popular or well-known enough, and has made pretty much no impact whatsoever by being in Brawl. Hopefully he'll make lots of cameos.
3rd Party: Gray Fox is arguably the most popular assist trophy at the moment (tied with Shadow), so chances are he'll find a spot. This is also likely with Snake's overwhelming popularity in Brawl. And by that same argument, Shadow should be in, possibly before Amy and Knuckles, as he is officially the second most popular character in the Sonic series and one of the assist trophies people want to become characters the most. After Shadow, it'll be Tails and Knuckles, and then Amy depending on how much Sonic they're having. Crash Bandicoot would be great
Others: Isaac and Saki are both popular and quite easy to make for a party-fighting game, so they have quite a chance.
These aren't the characters I want to appear; these are the characters that are likely to. My ideal list contains Salamence, Dry Bones and Ridley, and has Mario, Link and Fox cut out... but obviously that will never happen
