Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. They're remaking Chrono Trigger for DS.
I could re-say everything that I read on that website, but you'd be better off just visiting it yourself.

Never played Chrono Trigger, but I hear a lot people say it's really good, so....yay?

And I thought the DS was about dead.
This is awesome news. I never owned the SNES version because it's expensive like woooooooooah (just search for it on EBay), and I never beat the ROM.
I look forward to playing it again though; hopefully I'll have more of an attention span.

I heard about it this morning, I never got to play the original, so this is great.

Oh HELL yes.
Chrono Trigger is one of those RPs that I've sworn to play through one day, and this makes my job a helluva lot easier. Plus, it's for the DS, a console that has been gathering dust on my desk aside from the occasional FE7 run.
AND it's coming out Christmas in the US, which means I might see this before the end of 2009. :D

DS, gathering dust? My, I can hardly keep up with the games that developers are churning out =p
Chrono Trigger just seems so well known and all, and yet I haven't played it before. So I guess this gives me a great chance to delve into its universe. I'm looking forward to it, but at the moment there doesn't seem to be much information about the game yet.

Essentially, you have one or two brilliant gems among a sea of cross-console games, movie tie-ins, casual gamer trash and pony simulators. :P

Freaking YES! That was my favorite game next to FF5! I got all twelve endings for, and I'll be happy to do it again on a road trip! =]
And I'm gonna kick buh-dum-dum with multiplayer. But the new dungeon better not be crappy like the one in the FF4 remake, or I'll be sad. >;(
And GQ, this coming Christmas or the one after?

This is nice news as I did play it for SNES (Rom though) I got quite close to beating it though. My favorite characters are Frog and Magus.

I'm going to hope it's something more than the standard Square-Enix remake fare of "update graphics and translation, add a post-game dungeon."
I'm sure it'll be in vain, though.

They can go ahead and port the game for all I care. I'm not buying a PlayStation game that has to load EVERY BATTLE like FFV/FFVI, or a SNES game for $70+.
