I personally buy my music from online. When I here a song it is usually at home so it is a pain to find that the only time I can go to the music store is on the weekend and by then the album/single has already been sold out. So that is my I buy my music from a iTunes.
I don't steal music, because I know it is wrong, even though the companies who produce/record/compose/publish make millions off want only took a few quarters to make, they are probably the theifs but I still do the right thing.

I prefer to listen to the radio, because I usually don't have that much money.

I buy at a store. And if you think that's oldschool, try taking trash from your friends because you listen to Classical!

For me, it's a combination of buying CDs at music stores, or taking CDs from my friends. All of us have this big organization of giving and taking CDs from one another. Currently, I have three CDs in my house that aren't mine, that belong to different people. And two of my CDs are in the hands of other people. The bottom line is that I don't dare downloading music or movies, simply out of respect. I think it's an insult to a song or a movie if you're too cheap to pay SOME money, which goes to the people who put their heart and soul into creating the song/movie/whatever.

My sister gets me music by checking out CDs from the library and cpying the songs onto our computer. Then she burns the songs onto a cd.

It's a combination of buying CDs and downloading other stuff off the Net.
And I don't see anything wrong with downloading music for free as long as you're not burning them to CDs and selling them for profit.

It's a mix of almost all the choices.
If I happen to be at Best Buy or the Mall, or if there's album I just got to have the day that it's released, that's when I buy in the stores. Otherwise, I'll go online to Amazon.com because the prices tend to be lower. Never borrow albums from friends, though, first of all I'd need to actually have friends. I've almost stopped listening to the radio entirely, but every now and again I'll turn that on to look for new releases.
Listening to samples on iTunes is how I find most of my new music. If I like what I hear and it's popular enough, I go on WinMX and download a few tracks. If I dislike it, I delete the songs. If I like it, I put the album on a list of albums that I'll eventually buy. If I only like two songs, I keep those and refuse to care about the "illegal" thing because I'm not paying a full-album's worth of cash for two good songs and ten or more crap ones.
And the RIAA can kiss my ass if they have such a problem with my downloading. Due to my methods I've bought a load of albums that I wouldn't have thought twice about otherwise: Sleater-Kinney, Veruca Salt, Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, Lacuna Coil, Conjure One and Garbage, to name just a few.

I buy my albums at music stores. I haven't even explored the whole buying music online yet, mainly due to my 56k modem, but also because you don't get that feeling of holding a new album in your hands while staring at the cover art or reading the lyrics in the booklet. God I love the feeling of bringing a new album home.
However, I do hate the prices of albums as of late. $30-35 for an album is bloody ridiculous in my opinion, so I just shop around or wait for a sale and stock up.
And yeah, I borrow from friends and things too.

A mix of buying CD's from the store, and downloading (the not so legal way.) Once in a while my friends and I borrow and copy each other's CD's.

I mainly listen to deathmetal like music. Stuff that is never in the record stores. So I'm mainly forced to download off WinMX Coz my parents hate my music and won't let me by it off the internet.

I never buy anything from the Web.
When my favorite bands release new albums, I usually buy them at stores. But if there's a song I like from a band that is not my fave, I download it from internet, or I upload from my friends's cds.

All my Death Metal was downloaded illegaly (well they don't sell it in shops, and I don't have a credit card), most of my other metal (Mudvayne, Iron Maiden, Rob Zombie, Motorhead) I bought in shops. My mum bought the Nirvana tracks online because she likes Nirvana as well.
