Vocalist:
1. Freddie Mercury (Queen). Nobody, and I mean NOBODY in rock history has yet topped his voice.
2. Ian Gillain (Deep Purple). Normally these heavy rock band vocalists can't sing, but Ian's got a great voice. Not to mention, he's definitely got the best "rock scream" out there. He's also got an impeccable skill for identifying notes and rhythms. Deep Purple would have this bit where Ritchie Blackmoore plays some notes on the guitar, and then Ian Gillain would try to sing those exact notes. They would also do it the opposite. Great stuff.
3. Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull). During their later years, he started to lose the good voice he had during their first albums, but in recent years he seems to have gotten it back.
4. B.B. King. Great voice with lots of presence and personality.
5. Tom Fogerty (Creedence Clearwater Revival). Alright, I'll admit it, he doesn't sing that good (although he sings pretty good). But I just love that accent of his
Guitarist:
1. Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin). Never has there been nor never will there be a greater guitarist, and that's a fact.
2. Jimi Hendrix (The Jimi Hendrix Experience). While Jimmy Page has the skill, Jimi Hendrix sure has the style. He plays with his teeth, with his feet, with the amplifiers, with the floor, with his... well, you know. He was awesome.
3. Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple, Rainbow). This guy is... wow. Just listen to the guitar solo on "Child In Time", and you'll know what I mean.
4. Eric Clapton (Cream and others, also solo). A truly skilled guitarist. He can play some REALLY tough stuff flawlessly and effortlessly. Not to mention that without him, Cream wouldn't be as great as they were.
5. Carlos Santana (Santana and others, mainly duets). Ah, WHAT a guitarist! No need to go into detail, really, he pretty much speaks for himself.
Drummer:
1. John Bonham (Led Zeppelin). Just... woah. The studio stuff is excellent, but the essence of Led Zeppelin is in their live performances. I've got the Led Zeppelin DVD, and John Bonham moves his arms so quickly, it's too fast for the frame rate to pick up. I mean, he must be on something, because he plays INSANELY.
2. Keith Moon (The Who). Great drummer. He had a really unique and original (albeit unusual) drumming style. In fact, the great drummers after him (including John Bonham, Ginger Baker and others) all said he was a major influence on their drumming. I mean, Moon's style was totally crazy.
3. Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience). Really dynamic drumming, check out the drumming on Manic Depression and Purple Haze, for example.
4. Ginger Baker (Cream and others, including solo). Ah, Ginger... Another drummer influenced by Keith Moon's bombastic, out-of-control drumming style. He was also one of the first rock drummers to use two bass drums, something he probably picked up from his jazz background.
5. Ian Paice (Deep Purple). Another excellent drummer. Great improvisation skill. Check out The Mule, for example.

Vocalist: Freddy Mercury (no question about it), Paul Di'Anno (Iron Maiden vocalist from 77-81, he mixed heavy metal and punk singing styles flawlessly into a way that can be imitated but not matched).
Guitarist: Kerry King (Slayer guitarist, listen ot some of that guy's solos), Jimi Hendrix ('nuff said)
Bassist: Steve Harris (Iron maiden bassist, if you listen to quite a few Maiden songs, you'll know why)
Drummer: Rick Allen (I don't know how he does it with only 1 arm, I do know they have extra pedals on the drum kit, but it would still have an extremely steep learning curve).
From that post, you can tell I like Iron Maiden

Vocal:
Kurt Cobaine, his voice has so much hurt sometimes
Billy Joe Armstrong's voice is unique, cause it's kinda silly and fun, even though lyrics say otherwise
Syd Barret, the original frontman of Pink Floyd. His story is a really sad one of too much too fast. Jimi had a nickname for him when the Floyd were starting out and toured with him, "Laughing Syd Barret," even though Syd was way too screwed up to even carry on conversation at that point. Sad.
Guitar:
Well, there's Jimi Hendrix, then there's Jimmy Page... and it's kinda downhill from there.
My favorite is Dave Gilmour, though. His tone is so spacey and mezmerizing (the Comfortably Numb solo has got to be the most powerful solo anyone's unleashed since Jimi). Not a bad singer, either.
Drums:
If I had to pick, I'd say Dave Grohl. He was an excellent addition to Nirvana, and he's pretty much secured his spot in stardom through his multi-musicaianship.

My favourite singer is a guy named Jon Arch. He sang with this obscure heavy metal band named Fates Warning from the 80's. If you don't object to Heavy Metal and you want to hear something different I highly recommend picking up one of their records, if you can find one. I think they were on Restless Records. Jon Arch's voice has this eerie melodic quality that doesn't quite belong with the heavy metal, but at the same time works anyways.
Drummer is Neal Peart from Rush. The dude simply rocks. He is an accomplished musician and songwriter.
Guitarist has to be East Bay Ray from the Dead Kennedys. I think he's the best guitarist in Punk Rock, hands down, and one of the best ever, up there with Hendrix and Brian May from Queen.
Bass player is Les Claypool from Primus. Duh. Jerry was a race car driver, or something.
Piano/keyboards is a tough one, but I'm gonna go with Rick Wakeman from Yes.
