You guys are going off topic. This is a Super Smash Brawl thread. Since we are all talking about stages, I hope they add the bigger version of Fox's ship in Super Smash Bro.

They really shrank it in melee but it was huge in the first. i kinda want to see the new kirby stage (the one with wispy woods) that would be amusing.

You know like add in more transformations. Such as a form for each type or something along that line.

True. I could literally beat a ten stock match against three level one coms before it changed once.

Yes, that was fun. I use to stay right next to it and kill the chansey if it pops out. To bad I sometimes got Charizards and watched as they burned me to a crisp  .

Most of the new stages will have to do with new games that have come out or the new characters; for example, Daein's castle has to do with the PoR sequel, the mario kart stage has to do with the DS game, and yoshi's island is likely due to the sequel for the DS.
I personally hope there will be a super mario galaxy stage, and there will almost certainly be a stage that has to do with twilight princess...
And, on that topic, wouldn't Wolf Link be a good replacement of young link? imagine the possibilities...

Imagine the possiblities... However, it also means that there won't be as many characters, as the directors will just throw 'em in the trophy and be done with it.
Wolf Link:
B-leap forward and bite with a big jump
up B- midna flies out and link jumps to her
down b- link digs a hole trap that others can fall in, does about 12 damage
over b- midna makes a force field that paralyzes those inside for a bit, and link jumps 'em
Could actually be a possibility

i don't think this means there will be fewer playable characters-i think it's safe to say that there will be many more available than in the past games for sure
i think this is a way for nintendo to include even more characters-mostly minor that wouldn't otherwise be in the game-i mean i don't think anyone thought nintendog, hammer bro, or samurai goro would be playable characters...
yeah-that wolf link set-up sounds pretty good!

Well... Let's just use birdo as an example.
There is a possibility that he will be in brawl, however, since he is more minor, he will possibly just be one of the trophies.
On a side note, in the strategy guide it lists ditto as a poke in a pokeball, but obviously he isn't in it... he's supposed to transform into the person who through the poke ball and help out, just like the assist trophies.
How about we start a list of possible characters? here's some of mine;
Birdo, Ridley, toad, waluigi, wolf link if he's not gonna be a character

i think birdo is more major-and wolf link-if he's in it at all
i think they will be more minor than you think here's a few i'm thinking of:
- e. gadd
- a ghost or two from luigi's mansion
- princess zora
- slippy toad
- tatu/navi
- latiku
- any of the common zelda enemies
you know things like that-not birdo though--maybe toad or waluigi, but those are iffy
also, i think ridley will be a playable character

Well, the only real way that characters can be used is that they usually have to be bipedal...
you know, typical abilities to punch and throw and stuff
Ridley is kind of a, umm... different shape, as well as the fact as he is HUGE, and would have to be shrunk a whole lot more than bowser was...

Ash:
Go, pikachu! *sends out pikachu*
Use thunderbolt on link!
*Pikachu runs up to link*
*link cuts pikachu into tiny pieces*
Pikachu, return!
*link cuts ash's head off*
It won't happen. And in melee, you could play as mewtwo, pichu, pikachu and jigglypuff. I want wolf-link, sonic, tails, knuckles, king dedede and perhaps Deoxys to make it into the game.
