I got some good results in my exams, so my dad is getting me any console of my choice. The thing is, I can't decide. I've narrowed it down to the PSP, Gamecube and Xbox360. I dunno which one to get. please help!!

Well, right now, the XBox360 isn't out yet, and PSP isn't a console.
So that leaves Gamecube.

I reccomend getting the X-box 360. Why? the longer you wait for the others the cheaper they will get.
I am a hardcore Nintendo fan but in this case go with the new.

360 will be out this christmas. PSP is a portable gaming device then.

Go with the psp i just got mine and its great and realy good graghics, Gamecube is old if you want a nintendo console you might as well wait for the revoltion. And xbox 360 isn't out yet, but if you want to wait for 360 or revolution go with the xbox 360.

I would go with the psp if i was you in your exact situation (otherwise i would go for the nintendo revolution) I like the DS way more, but the I dont think the 360 will be worth it, and gamecube will obsolete in aabout half a year

Well, 360 would be a better deal in a way since it costs more, and it would make the gift more worth it, but Gamecube has a lot of great games out.
I'd say go with Gamecube and ask him if he can include a few games.

yeah Gamecube will go the way of the N64 once the Revolution is release and because of that you can get the gamecube for $99 USD new and it includes Super Smash Brothers: Melee. So that would be the best choice if the money was coming out of your own pocket. But out of the other choices it would Go.
PSP>GC>XBOX:360
As much as i personally dislike the PSP, but if I was getting one as a gift i wouln't say no. Its my first suggestion because it is available at stores so you can get this reletively soon, just suggest that you also buy screen protecter film (slim plastic that goes over the screen to protect it from scratches) and some sort of Case/pouch to help protect it from falls, the last thing you want is that your $200 Portable Game system gets a scratch or falls and breakes.
The Gamecube again because you can go to the store and pick it up and it is one of the best systems for multi-player games that you can play for hours.
Xbox 360 last on my suggestion because you have to wait to get it, and if you dont pre-order it today (usally a $50 deposit) your not garantee to get one from the first shipment and then have to wait. And hopefully they wont inflate the price too much (supply and demand, little supply and Very High demand usally means very high price.)
