Well, it is possible to get FF3 on a rom, but I won't post on how or where to get it.
I did play a few minutes of it though, and it seems like an interesting game. That game, and FF5, are the only two that have the job system (not including Tactics).

FFX-2 does use the job system as well. Only because all three playable characters are female, they had to stereotype things up and hence the "Dresspheres," and "Garment Grids," were born. But make no mistake - with roles like Black/White/Gun Mage, Samurai, Gunner, Thief and Warrior - it's an updated twist on the job system.

I don't play that much anymore, the newest one I played is 4. my favorite is FF3 (NES) the first one was good, but I found it a tad too hard.
PS at coolrom you can get ROMs for 1 and 3, probaly 2 but I don't remember.

While I enjoy playing FF Games, I'm not a huge fan either since I've only played FF VII and VIII before. But that is partly because I can't afford them all

FFX was my first and I mastered it in a week. Love it!
Second was FFVIII. Didn't like it at first, but it really grew on me after awhile. Now it's one of my favorites.
Third was FFVII. I mastered it before VIII because I kept wanting to know what Sephiroth was going to do next. He's so evil! That's why I love him.
Fourth was FFIX. Hated it. Got to the third disc and quit.
Then FFX-2 came out. Fun game if you're willing to go for 100%, but I really didn't think it was necessary to make a sequel. I liked the ending of the first one. This one just seemed to mess it up.
Last, I got FFCC. It was okay, but it's a lot more fun if you have someone to play with, which I don't 'cause the only game my friends like to play is DDR.
And I can't afford FFXI. Bummer.
So in order of favorites: FFX, FFVII, FFVIII, FFX-2, FFCC, and finally FFIX.

Personally, I don't like FF X-2 as much as FF X. I liked the summoning aspect of the whole things, and I miss Auron! Too many dresspheres with FF X-2 and the game seems more directed toward guys...*coughthegirlsareslutscough*

I've barely played any of the FF games...since I'm forced to watch my friend play them all, ony getting to play when he decides to take a break.
Anyway, my favorite is FF7, followed closely by FFX, then FFX-2. FF8 though is high up there too.

rumor is that FF13 comes out for PS3, thad be schweet. do you count kingdom hearts a final fantasy games, since it's like 1/2 FF (the awesome part) and 1/2 disney (the sucky part). it has tidus and wakka in it, and pretty much all the spells, but it isn't turn play.
