I was using a Spinda in emerald the other day and he came up against a mightyena that used swagger on my spinda... my spinda's attack went up 2 levels but his 'own tempo' prevented the confusion... and that got me thinking you could use swagger on your own spinda in a double battle to raise his attack and not confuse him...
I was wondering if anyone else has come across interesting ways to use moves like swagger differently?

Yes. Using EQ when your partner is part-Flying.
Countless times, Ive used Swords Dance on my Scizor, its partner Medicham PU'd it, wha-la. Instant kills.

Protect when your partner <s>commits suicide</s> sacrifices itself/himself/herself
Get it? Okay... straightforward: Explosion, Self-Destruct when your partner Protects
Follow Me with Focus Punch.

Yes, if you have a pokemon that knows thrash or Outrage etc. and a pokemon that has the ability Own Tempo and the move skill swap you can skill swap with your pokemon that is using Trash or Outrage on a 2 on 2 battle

How about this?
(Any electric poke) + Claydol
Claydol used Skill Swap on Random Electric Poke!
-Next Turn-
Claydol used Earthquake!
Tada.

I was wondering if I used the combo Rest+ Sleep Talk on Slaking, then would his ability apply at that moment while he's sleeping? If it didn't, it could lead to destruction upon other....just a crazy thought

I've never really trained a slaking so i dont know if you can get Rest + Sleep Talk but that could be a very cool combo
Edit: trying to think to the times i've battled slaking, i wonder if using sleep talk while he was asleep would totally bypass his loafing around?

I don't think Truant would be bypassed. Truant only allows Slaking to attack once every two turns, and I don't think it would make a difference just because Slaking is asleep.

Well if it can't bypass it then, I'll just use my regular
Rest+Chesto berry on Slaking, even if the Traunt ability messes him up, i'll have something done about it. Or I could make him hold either a lansat berry or leichi give him Dire hit or Attack X and the use Slash.......that should speed the process of elemination.
