How does that make Nintendo lazy? I don't see any correlation there. At all.

Think about it and you'll understand.
Like I said all they have to do is say this will happen then that will happen. :roll:

nintendo isn't lazy, nintendo was smart.
By creating a huge sea of 700 pokemon right off the bat, they could send out one batch, if the audiuance liked it, then they could send out the second batch, and so on. In this way nintendo does'nt waste time coming up with new pokemon designs that the audiance may end up hating, if the franchise becomes unpopular, nintendo can simply stop sending out the batches, or possibly wait a few years then bring the franchise storming back with "All new" pokemon with out having to come up with any. sorta like whats been happening with Transformers and ninja turtles.
Also, in each batch there are some pokemon who are cool-looking or just well designed, and there are also those that look like they came out the rear end of a trash compactor(I'm looking at you Regis). Every generation has had both good and bad looking pokemon, and i anticipate that the fourth will have a wide variety as well. give 'em a chance first, save your berating until the little blighters are actually visible to the naked eye.
on a side note, Rayquaza is in fact modeled after an Amphitere. an Aztec dragon that was essentially a snake with bird wings(though rayquaza doesn't have any) His name is also derived from the Aztec sun god- Quetzalquatul. Ray= suns ray Quaza= Sun god's name.
Gardevior1313- i too once thought Rayquaza could be a lindwyrm(I have the same dragonology book, i'm obssessed with fantasy creatures) however lindwyrms cannot fly and actually burrow in the desert.
I'll shut up now.

Quetzalquatul is a DINOSAUR!!! It was actually the largest flying dinosaur that ever lived. It might also be there god I'm not an Aztec expert but it was a dinosaur also.
P.S. I hope Nintendo has an evolution for chimecho in one of those batches!

Calculon, this page is to show your opinions about NINTENDO and IF THEY ARE RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS FOR NEW POKEMON so if you wish to argue do it somewhere else.

I think they are running out of ideas! The RBY pokemon are undeniably the best, and there are some pokemon in RS that are truly awful! anyone?

Come on people!
the RSE pokemon were the best, they look more mangaish and have better animation. (in my opinion)
= a chicken, here's how the pattern goes:
Tor chic combus ken blazi ken
that spells out chicken. End of.
technically though, don't be so worried. Pokemon are based on animals, legends etc. so virtually they aren't running out of ideas. (although some pokemon are not based on anything.)
meh.

What? RS pokemon the best? I think it's time for you to give up the LSD.
Besides I think the overall number of pokemon is going over the top.

Meh, a lot of RSE pokemon have overall better movesets. And I think your missing the point, I aren't talking about the RSE starters (yep, evn I have to agree that they look terrible.) I'm talking about , etc.
But I'm not saying the RBY pokemon are bad, they are very good, and I will always worship the awesome (lol) and all other eevolutions. But I like the RSE pokemon best, as most of my fave are RSE pokemon, but not much of my faves are RBY pokemon.
and we're getting a bit off-topic here. And I've already said my say in this, so I have nothing left to say.
(so unnfortunately my post was technically spam, srry)

I take your point, but the only RSE pokrmon I like are:
cos she's better than zam
cos he's cooler the gyara
and cos he pwns.
The rest just seem a tad... digimonish for my liking...
And don't even get me started on rayquaza.
And to go back to the topic: baby pokemon suck!!! And they seem to be making loads of them. (mind you sneasel evolution looks cool)

Stop agruing :roll:
Anyway, back on topic. How could Nintendo be running out of ideas? There are tons of things in this world to base ideas upon. Robots, books, animals (yes I understand they've used this one alot), computers, rocks, etc. Just because the last Generation was pretty much all crap aside from Ninjask and the Lati@s, it doesn't mean the D/P generation will be total crap. Lets just give Nintendo a chance. The pokemon they've released info/pictures on so far look fine.

A bit late to post this, but I think that you mean Quetzalcoatlus, a Pterosaur, technically not a dinosaur.
Back on topic, yes, RSE was running out of ideas.
=rip-off of
+{minun}={pichu} with funny tail
=no point for existing
But I'm worried that DP will be even worse.
Manafi=WTF?!?
Tamanta={mantine}'s
Buizeru=Randomly thought up
Rukario=Stupid
Okay, so in RSE a few Pokemon were awesome ({banette}, , ), but most were lame. I hope Nintendo creates decent Pokemon like again.

was awesome; except a kind of wannabe. But meh, I like better.
Come to think of it, their ideas are running out, though I have some ideas:
Basking Shark pokemon: Friendlyish version of Sharpedo.
Angler Fish: Chinchou/Lanturn didn't have huge fangs, bring on the huge fangs.
Gorilla: Aipom is a monkey. And boring (Though a gorilla would be worse then Aipom IMO), so a gorilla to go side with Aipom would be a nice idea.
Though, I do get bored with them being based on animals, so mythical creatures is what they should be basing them on. AND NO MORE BABY POKEMON. We get it, they have no point in existing.

Yeah, bring out the ortus, basilisk, and amphisbaena!
I think that they should stop making the baby versions as well. They may be obnoxiously cute, but they aren't very good battle-wise (excluding Pichu, for the sole purpose of Volt Tackle, and nothing else.)

The first time I saw the Slaking evo-line I thought they were some kind of yetis (a Yeti is a mythological creature that supposedly lives in snowy mountains).I don't think they resemble gorillas.The only thing they for sure resemble is a sloth imo.
gorilla evo for the win!

Yetis walk on their two hind legs, just like humans. I would liken Slaking to the sloth instead, for its ability, Truant, is based on the sloth's lack of activity.
