For me, I breezed through three legendaries.

{entei} in gold version!

This was so easy! I went to the route below Goldenrod city to start my legendary quest, master ball in hand. I sprayed the super repel, walked around... and Entei appeared. Master Ball thrown and CHA-CHING! Caught! On the first route I tried, too! Talk about luck...

Well this can be summed up pretty quick. All my pokemon were level 50 or something, so I didn't expect to catch it. But, my Groudon's thunder just *happened* to paralyze the thing! (I didn't have any status-inflicting moves, sue me) Then it was a matter of chipping away at its HP and throwing ultra balls. Within 10 tosses, it was caught.

This one's sort of in the middle. The first three tries I failed to catch it even when getting its HP in the red and putting it to sleep. Then the fourth time around, the same thing happened. All I had left was a timer ball. I switched my pokemon around over and over until all except blaziken were dead. Then I simply threw the timer ball, and it was caught.

I used this strategy to snag alot of pokemon in colosseum too! The timer ball is my favorite pokeball ever!

I caught and with a pokeball. that was easy.

Only once.



I caught it on the first try with a Premier Ball.

in FR. first turn out i threw a pokeball and got it.

I caught the following pokemon with a single ball

-Emerald-

-Regice= Caught on full Hp with a great ball \___I know you can't beleive it, but neither can I |
-Registeel=See "Regice"(It was also full Hp) /
-Rayquaza= Master Ball!

i couldn't believe it when this happened. in emerald, i was lookin for somethin to do, so i went to the weather institute, and got into a battle w/ groudon on route 116. i opened up my pack to see what balls i had to work with, and i only had a pokeball. so i said, "omfg" and just threw it.
IT CAUGHT HIM. AT FULL HEALTH. A POKEBALL. i just sat there and stared at the screen in disbelief. so yea. i might have typed too much there.

Indeed, he is near impossible to catch in R/B/Y, but hes actually really easy to catch in LG

I cought Regirock on my second through with an ultra ball. I could'nt belive how easy he was to catch.

I caught a Moltres with only 1 Great Ball, but I did Paralyse it and get it to 3 bits of HP left.

And to all those who said "I caught a Mewtwo at full health with only one Pokeball!!!2!@"? I have 3 words for you.

Well, darn... Every time I played R/B/Y I saved my master ball for mewtwo, and I did in FR/LG, too... All this time I thought wrong...

Well, in truth, what else is worth saving the Master Ball for besides Mewtwo, anyway?

I didnt throw it on the first try. i brought down to red health, paralyzed it,
and i had the missingo cheat. i had alot of pokeballs. I used over half believe what you wanna believe, i know what i did. And i think it is worth saving your master-ball for . I just had to prove something to myself. thats all.

P.S. I never said i caught it at full health. I had it down to its last bit of health. it took about 2 hours, cause it killed all my pokemon or i killed it.

Nice sig, but anyways, and I've mentioned this a few times, in Silver, lugia, lvl 70, I started the battle, after lugia appeared it went something like this...

...I'm not sure I got all the words right but thats how it went. and to anyone who says they caught RBY mewtwo with a pokeball, even frozen with 1 HP lleft, sorry, I don't beleive you, I'd tryed, used around 400 pokeballs (thanks to my glitchy freind) with 1 HP left and frozen, none'em got'im. if you REALLY don't care if we beleived you, most wouldn't continue arguing it was true.

Ok this doesnt count as a legendary, but yall know Scyther right? And how it can get very annoying if your trying to catch it with stupid safari balls right? Well I had been trying to catch it for at least... 4 days, (this is on emerald by the way) and it was about 2 in the morning. My friend was on the phone telling me my eyes were bloodshot from staring at the game so much. I used every freakin method to try and catch a pokemon in safari zone. Then I just tried something totally out of my nature of gaming. I prayed. Quite strange I encountered and scyther and caught it on the first try with nothing; no moving, throwin crap at it, nothing. Just the ball and it worked. Strange huh?

Meh. Doesn't bother me none if you believe me or not, really. It's just really good reminiscing about the good old Red and Blue days.

Edit: Oh, would you believe me if I told you I wasted my Master Ball on a Ponyta 'cause I didn't want her to get away? XD 'Cause that's where it went. Can't tell you how stupid I felt after that one. :roll:

Hey, I believe you. I caught Mewtwo in RBY with a Pokeball too. And I used only about 15...Anyways, the reason I didn't have my Master Ball anymore in my Red Version is because some jerk told me I was supposed to catch Articuno with the Master Ball. And guess what? I stupidly believed him and did it. I realized that he was a lying jerk when I had used up 30 Ultra Balls and 26 Great Balls on a paralyzed Mewtwo with probably only 1 HP left. Then I somehow caught Mewtwo after a few tries with a Pokeball. It was an amazing victory.


Anyways, I gotta post about the main topic. An easy time catching a legendary, eh? Well after one Thunder attack I got Kyogre (in my Sapphire game) to just a little under halfway (yellow health). I got really lucky and paralyzed it with that Thunder attack too. I then looke into my bag and realized that I had forgotten to but any Ultra Balls. All I had was 7 Pokeballs, 3 Great Balls, and 1 Master Ball. I threw a Great Ball and I caught it. I almost couldn't believe it, but I didn't dwell on it for long. I moved on and just considered it a lucky shot.

My easyest was when i (i got lucky ok??? i dun noe how i did it!!) was walking though fortree's TALL grass when Latios apeared i thought dam i used my master ball already anyway before it ran i threw a ultraball saying oh man this is never going to work in the end i got a shock when i caught it just like THAT!!! i victory danced for 3 hours i think forgot i think i didn't eat dinner i just kept danceing!!! (i stoped for water once or trice i think...) and then i fell asleep that was the happyest day of my life!!!!
