Ah, Aerodactyl, a flying.....rock...erm, yeah. But anyway, an excellent physical sweeper, with incredible speed to boot. 9.3/10.0

Ya if you grow an shiny to level 81 while in shoal Cave it learns Roack Slide . Anyway rocks no matter what game you use him in. By far the best "fossil" pkmn.

Aerodactyl: I sharked a Max DV and stat one , it only had 306 attack (I think, it may hae been 307), but it's speed was just insane, though it'd be nice to have a Speed Deoxys on my team, too bad it didn't exist in GSC.
Personally Aerodactyl doesn't seem too good to me, since EQ is stronger than Ancientpower, even with STAB, and Rock Slide is considered an Illegal move in Stadium 2.
Houndoom: A little late, but i've been busy, like sNOwBaLL said, with the Standard set, I agree, I actually used a Female Houndoom @ Bitter Berry against Karen's Umbreon (Stadium 2), it's almost sad how Umbreon can barely damage Houndoom, since it's Special Defense is maxed and Attack is pretty low.
Still waiting for , or .

thats why i taught my umbreon hp-fighting, supereffective and houndooms defense stat sucks.... not to mention 's Spdef is insane and all houndoom can use effectively are special moves....
as for aerodactyl, thats fine, just use earthquake as your main attack move and save ancient power and wingattack for use when they are supereffective or earthquake wont be effective

Being a Rock pokemon trainer, I must say that is one of my favorites.
The definition of a Fossil pokemon.
when I first seen areodactly I was excited about it being part rock, and when I seen its telivision apperence it made me like aero that much more.
I use occasionally for my rock type.
Here's some fact's
Hieght - 5'11
Weight - 130ibs
Type - Rock/Flying
Ability - Rock Head/Pressure
Egg - Flying
Level-up Moves
- Wing Attack
- Agility
- Bite
- Supersonic
- Ancientpower
- Scary Face
- Take Down
- hyper beam
Egg Moves
- Whirlwind
- Pursuit
- Foresight
- Steel Wing
- dragonbreath
- Curse
LM's
- Double-Edge
- Mimic
- Rock Slide
- Substitute
Stats
HP - 80
Attack - 105
Defense - 65
Speed - 130
Special Attack - 60
Special defense - 75
Availability (New Versions)
- Red
- Green
My overall opinion
Unlike most Rock types, Aerodactyl is very fast, enabling him to strike first most of the time. Since Aerodactyl has great attack and the speed along with it, moves like earthquake and Hyper Beam will do more damage.
OVERALL
9.7/10

Aerodactyl is tied with Jolteon and Electrode for fastest Pokemon in the game back in RBY, did you know?
Anyway, I've always liked Aerodactyl because of its fast speed and good stats, but since the emergence of better alternatives to Aerodactyl as a physical sweeper I've not used it very much

Aerodactyl rules, he is most likely a vital part of your team on red/blue/yellow versions lol...
High defence
Good attack
Speedy

Actually Deoxys Speed form has higher speed than Ninjask, but Ninjask's ability will raise it's speed.

If it's still Aerodactyl then I think it's okay. Perhaps it could've been better.

<color=extreme sarcasm>Nice, pointless input. *thumbs up*</color>
Anyway, I thought aero was the BEST physical sweeper in RBY. I always got it the moment I got to cinnabr island. I used it through the GSC days, but after the two choicekings (Slaking and Nidoking) came, I switched to those. Still, he's a great pokemon.
~9.6/10~

Never realized how good Octillery could be...wow. I was going to give it a 7 since it's speed isn't that good, but with Modest+252 Speed EV's, it's balances it out, plus it has great SP. Attack too.

i always though octillery's movepool was sweet, and combined with good attack's and special attacks, its pretty awesome... if only it were a little faster...

That's exactly why Thunder Wave was put on the standard moveset. It cuts you're foes speed in half. Anyway I haven't used before, buit he seems good so maybe I 'll try him on my next team.

I never used this pokemon during my long years of hard training, but I plan on doing so once emerald arrives.
Here's some great facts about the second generation water pokemon.
Hieght - 2'10
Weight - 62.79 ibs
Habitat - Sea
Sex % - 50/50
Species - Jet
Ability - Suction Cups
Type - Water
Evolves From -
~~~~~~~~
Leve Up Moves
~ Water Gun [1]
~ Lock-On
~ Constrict [11]
~ Psybeam [22]
~ Aurora Beam [22]
~ Bubblebeam [22]
~ Octazooka [25]
~ Focus Energy [38]
~ Ice Beam [54]
~ Hyper Beam [70]
Egg Moves
~ Aurora Beam
~ Octazooka
~ Supersonic
~ Haze
~ Screech
~ Thunder Wave
~ Rock Blast
Learned Moves
~ Double-Edge
~ Seismic Toss
~ Mimic
~ Thunder Wave
~ Substitute
Stats
Hp 70
Attack 105
Defence 75
Speed 45
Special Attack 105
Special Defence 75
My Overall Opinion
Good attack and Special attack make up for this pokemon's speed, giving it the advantage of using both pysical and Non-psyical attacks and still laying a great amount of power on the defending pokemon.
Overall
7.9/10
Octillery is one of those pokemon the might be found in an UU or a NU team. He's good, but not great. But he's still a water pokemon, so that's an automatic 8. =D
~8.7/10~
EDIT: I just noticed that this is THE FIRST water pokemon of the weak. w00t.
I pretty much like every Water Pokemon out there, just like WPM does, plus the fact that Octillery can learn cool moves like Flamethrower and Thunderwave as well as Octazooka, a unique move, means it scores high on my list of Pokemon that I like
Sadly I haven't got a chance to use it before back in GSC, so I'll probably try it out in Emerald.
