Lets say you could have 1 plant type of any gen, 1 fire of any gen, and 1 water of any gen. Ewww thats tough in my opinion. I think id have to get i think hes surperior to blazieken and has a nasty moveset,{bulbasaur} because he gets a good move update and is the pollen king, and because of the variety moves he can get and is well balanced. idk i didn't put too much thought in it.

{sceptile}
I just personally like them the best out of any starters. Charizard is close to typhlosion but most of my team is already flying
Sceptile and swampert I just like the best

Infernape is a great Life Orber, and I like the way he looks. He's my favorite of all the starters.
They broke the mold when making Sceptile. Honestly, how many fast Grassers are out there with a great movepool?
Swampert is a nice bulky water.

Swampert because he tanks and shakes, Infernape because he's an awesome sweeper, and Meganium just so I can annoy my opponents when she survives an Ice Beam.

is my favourite starter for shure.
It's a functional tank, especially with EVs, and makes a good cleric

{sceptile}{swampert}
Lets face it: charizard is the most powerful of all the starters. Swampert has a nasty movepool and stats, and sceptile is fast and deals strong blows.

Yeah, Charizard is powerful, I'll give him that. Yet Infernape might be the best. Swords Dance + Close Combat + Flare Blita + Max Speed and Attack EVs = Decimated team.

I don't really use a team. I just mix and match the Pokemon I have trained.

Fire- Been my fave fire starter right from the first gen
water- chompy, chompy
grass- Ground and grass are my two favourite types, finally a pokemon that combines the sweetness of both into one ankylosaur- shaped package.

I'd go with:
Torterra: Great physical sweeper/wall. It's sweeper and wall movepools are both quite decent, so it's quite variable.
Infernape: Excellent Speed and Attack. Great physical sweeping movepool and a decent CBer.
Blastoise: Balanced stats and works well as a sweeper with some defence. Rapid spin helps too.

STAB'd EQ + Not weak to anything but grass.
I can't even begin to describe the awesomeness of ol' typhy.
First real grass type I ever really trained. Looks beautiful.
