I would rate steelix at a nice, crisp 9/10 judging by the performance of my happy go lucky Precious, my big gold Steelix, she has: Attract, Explosion, Earthquake, Protect. Not to mention that she is my most characterful Pok

Jynx, possibly one of my least favorite pkmn, I mean it's so urghhh. Really take some time and just look at it and then you will see how ugly it is. Move wise it's (yes it) good, Lovely and Sweet Kiss are nice and I like Jynx's type combination.
Battle-wise 8.3/10
Over-all 1.2/10

I've always found Jinx kinda amusing, especially the accusations that it's a "racial stereotype" against blacks, when there are very few African Japanese people. They're more closely based on the "trendy" teens in japan who sport dark tans, bleach-blonde hair and really silly makeup, while trying to look cute in the way they act and such. Essentially, Jinx can be taken as an ugly caricature of Japanese preps, and who /doesn't/ love that?
Game-wise… kinda fun, but a little low on the defensive side for my tastes. I'd prefer a single-type psychic without that pesky fire weakness, or an all-ice who won't get creamed by the omnipresent Shadow Ball. Not something I'd laugh at in battle, but she won't be finding a place on my permanent team any time soon.
Overall 7/10 for an interesting sort of pokemon, in an amusing kind of way.

Haha... yeah I find Jynx pretty amusing too. Pity its defenses aren't so good. If it had better defenses to utilise Calm Mind before sweeping with Ice Beam and Psychic... *shudders*
Overall a 7/10 I say

I have never used Jynx before but, I have been beat up quite alot by opposing jynx. I do to find it sort of odd about the type steeriotype situation but, it shouldn't take anything away from the pokemon.
Ice/Psychic, Nice combination and easily one of the harder type's to deal with.
Jynx is a pokemon that many people pass up now or day's, I havent seen many trainers with a steady Jynx part of their team.
My idea of a steady Jynx.

X( Why! I hate Jynx, it's my least favoirt pokemon, it's types are good and everything but I hat the fact that it's a kissing pokemon, it's just... wrong. XP I think Jynx stinks, but don't let my opinion ruin yours though, but I still think it sucks. -99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999/10 yes, you heard me, NEGATIVE 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999

I don't like Jynx. I don't like her appearence, I don't like her "kissing-groove", so I don't use her in battle. However, she does have a decent movepoll, and is somehow, strong. Plus, she's a psychic type, combined with Ice (I'm hoping for a new pok

Jynx is a great pokemon. Lovely Kiss + High Speed = CALM MIND SWEEP. Hands down one of the better BL/UU Special Sweepers. Defenses are shotty though. Magcargo could smack it down.
EDIT:
New Pokemon of the Week.
Typhlosion should have gotten Explosion in its learn set. Read its Dex entry. DARN good Mixed Sweeper in BL/UU. Focus Punch, Flamethrower, Thunderpunch, HP:Ice. Blaziken does it better due to double stab but this pokemon is faster. Looks awesome too.
BL/UU Play: 7/10. Surf is common in all of the competitive formats.
OU play: 4/10. It gets thrashed so hard in OU.

Typhlosion was the king of GSC. Earthquake, Flamethrower, and Thunderpunch made this pokemon CRAZY GOOD. You combo this with a Kingdra and the battle was yours.
In Ru/Sa, however, most of its steam has gone down do to the use of Blaziken. Blaziken is Slower I think however it gets a STAB'd Sky Uppercut and a STAB'd Flamethrower. Ty on gets STAB on its Flamethrower attack. Still worth using in UU play however. It can be a demon in that format.
386(OU) Play: 6/10 only because it gets outclassed by others than Blaziken.
UU Play: 9/10. Focus Punch. Flamethower. Thunder Punch. This guy lolz at water or rock pokemon switch-ins.

Let's see... It's now come to Typhlosion.
Typhlosion is quite cool and I tried Cyndaquil on one of my Crystal games (that later went cuckoo and couldn't be played), but I never got to use it. In the anime it turns out that we'll be seeing Typhlosion next week in the Flannery ep.
And on the last one... the Jynx smiley looks horrible. But i'm not complaining really cos i don't use it much. In FRLG Jynx can be easily trained on Bond Bridge, Three Island.
And P.S. The pokedex page link is still on Jynx's.

I like Typhlosion. Good base stats, except for its defense, that can be a bit compensated with Defense Curl. Iron Tail to take rock foes down and Thunderpunch for the water opponents. Although he's not as cool as Blaziken or Charizard, he's a Fire favorite (actually, the majority of fire types are very cool pok

Can someone clearly post that the set used for the POTW are for ingame only?
Typhlosion would rock with Explosion. It would be even better with an ability that halfed the power of Explosion but didn't KO Ty when it was used. 125 BP isn't something to laugh at and that would be SWEET to use over and over again.

I just started to use typholsion for the first time. I was hunting down a good well rounded fire pokemon for my Netbattle team. I kept on looking until finally typholsion cought my eye.
Typholsion is probably one of the best pokemon today, and hehas made it on my list for the Top 5 fire pokemon.
One thing I wish was different about Ty is it's hight. Typholsion is only 5'7, I think he should be atleast 7'0.
@lv 100 @ Chesto
- Flamethrower
- Earthquake
- Focus Punch
- Rest
OR..........
@Lv 100 @ Leftovers
- Flamethrower
- Sunny Day
- Attract
- Toxic

Typhlosion is my newest addition to my Netbattle team, and I won a tounement, after he KOed 4 pokes when he was my last one.
@ Salac | Modest
EVs: 252 Speed; 252 Sp. Attack; 6 HP
~Fire Blast (85% Accuracy is good, it's the same as Toxic, so shut up.)
~Hidden Power (Grass)
~Thunderpunch
~Endure
Sweep, sweep, sweep, and when you think you're going down, Endure. Blaze actvates, and you got 450 (approx.) speed. Fire Blast will do a LOT of damage. If you feel risky, you could replace Salac with Petaya.
Typhlosion = 9.6/10.0

I recently add Typhlosion to my UU team.
Ty@Leftovers
Rash: 100 Atk, 252 spd, 158 Sp.Atk
Focus Punch
Flamethrower
Thunderpunch
HP:Ice
It kills like crazy.

Well, this weeks pokemon of the Week is Typhlosion. With the fact that it can learn Flamethrower, Thuderpunch and Earthquake, it is a good matchup for types. Thanks for the cool pokemon. Hey, how it can learn Iron tail when it doesn't have one (does it)?
