I was unsure as to which forum this should go in so move if neccassary.
I'm sure everyone's notice the Route number gap between Route 46 (I think it's that number) and Route 101. My question is, where is the rest? Is it in some region far, far away.... or did Nintendo simply overlook *cough* forget *cough* the missing numbers so it was easier to navigate through R/S/E?
If anyone would care to speculate I'd love to hear ideas.

Well...they moved the game from Johto, which's connected to Kanto and has the 46 routes, to an isolated island. Best guess is what M_M said.

Oh, yeah there is something I forgot to take into account. Another user, ages ago (sorry I forgot who) reminded me that there was a landmass connecting to Johto in the north. Perhaps they're there.

I'd not be suprised if the thing north of Johto's the P/D location...

My guess is, they probably wanted to restart to Route 1 or something, but since Route 1 is in FRLG/RBY, they made it 101+ instead.

...it's not mysterious at all, they just wanted to put Hoenn far away from the existing lands.
I expect that Diamond/Pearl will have something along the lines of Route 60-80 in it.

The Pokemon released so far all look like tropical Pokemon from a place with lots of water, daveshan. I doubt it'll be in a cold place, which north is usually associated with ^_^
