Masterball? Most likely hacked. Where was it caught?

okay...why in the world would someone do that? and I agree with Electrike!, there is not possible way that someone would just willingly give away a pokemon and item like that for a lvl. 8 geodude...

Additionally, there are quite a few PPups used on the Garchomp's moves. It's most likely a hack, however, it could be a clone (but maybe a clone of a hack).

Please note that obviously hacked pokemon are often banned from competitive battles.

Is it caught in a Master Ball or holding one?
The trade seems too good to be true. For some easy ways to determine whether or not it is hacked:
check the location of where it was found
check its IVs - are they all 31?
Having max PP Ups could easily happen to a legit pokemon, as pickup can give PP Ups. Nevertheless, the fact that it was traded for a Geodude suggests it was hacked.
Although that still does not answer the question of why someone who could get a hacked Garchomp - or a legit lvl100 Garchomp - would prefer to trade it for a Geodude over the GTS rather than obtain one in-game.

probably a hack, but it can be legit
Imagine that an angry brother takes its brothers game and he start trading everything over the GTS
or someone who´s quiting and is going to sell his game is giving away some pokemon

This is definitely a possibility...but i would also guess it could be an incredibly nice action replay user wanting to give away massive pokemon. and if so, this person might not have known he/she was giving it to someone who could easily tell. Nonetheless, chances are it's hacked. Although i highly agree about the "quitting and going to sell his game" thing.

I believe it is hacked, but it could be legit because I do the same thing. I take an awesome (or rare or something like Cyndaquil), and either ditto spam it (breed it non stop and get like 3 boxes of eggs) or clone the heck out of it and put it on GTS for like Bidoof's or Starly's or Geodudes or something equally as worthless or easy to get.

Right, Beav, but you don't take those Cyndaquils et al. to lv100 or make them hold Master Balls.
