I'm not really sure where this belongs so sorry if it's in a wrong place xP Anyway, is there a way to tell if a pokemon is hacked? I'd like to try to set up a team of all shinies but I don't want h4xx3d pokemon lol.

Well, one way is to look at where they were allegedly captured. If this matches where you can normally find that Pokemon, then it might be real. But, if someone used a cheat for, say, "the next PKMN you find will be a shiny" and they find the Pokemon in its right habitat, I'm not sure if you can tell.

Well, I tend to thourghouly check if it's legit. Here's some tips you can use:
Obviously, see at what level and where it was caught. lvl 100 in the trophy garden is NOT legit.
Second, check out what moves it knows. If it has been trained at all, it will LIKELY know good moves, but if it knows the last four possible moves then it MAY not be legit.
Third, check out what ball it was caught in. Starters should ALWAYS be in poke balls, unless they were from colloseum.
Fourth, check out the party of the person you are trading with. One person I saw had a dratini hatched at newmoon island; the place you can't get to yet.
Finally, check the orginal trainer of all the pokes in the person's party. This usually won't help, but if it's anything strange, like 00000 or 01000 it's not legit.
There is a guide to this somewhere; I'll get it to you.

It is almost impossible to tell
Things like pokésav allow you to change every detail - including OT, location found and level found at...
Though there are a few obvious things you can look for - like too many IVs or all contest ribbons, or maxed out contest stats... Even look for things like trainer ID - a lazy hacker may just leave it as default (00000)

I'll counter this point because I'm one of the emerald users who clone legit mews for trade in D/P. If you catch mew from faraway island from emerald and import into DP, it will say it is from Hoenn. It doesn't mean that it was hacked.

I used to think a tiny on the summary meant it was hacked. It simply meant the Pokemon had a Pokerus.
Phew! Then my Torterra's legit after all!
