Staraptor is my only decent EV trained/natured Pokemon as of now, though I'll be completely revamping my team once I've beaten the game.

I'm going to find as many great D/P pokemon as I can and make them kick ass individually, then have a pool of about 20 great pokes to choose from. But my Team I usually take into the Elite Four is this:

And this space is usually filled with the Poke I'm currently trying to raise by Exp Share, last week it was my Lucario but now he can take on Cynthia Single handedly, this week it's my Honchkrow thats getting the special treatment. Lv30 at the moment.

Other good pokes I have are my lv 83 Magmortor, traded him over from my Leafgreen as a Magmar. Lv 82 Vaporeon, from Lg, Lv 81 Sandslash from Lg, Lv 82 Dragonite from Lg, Lv 83 Hitmonlee from Lg, lol. Also have a level 54 Dusknoir.

I've only been playing a week now.. but here is my current team:

I'm getting pretty bored of Roselia to be honest.. I'm thinking of evolving her with my shiny stone then putting her away haha, but then I'd have an empty space for a grass type pokemon.

Any recommendations?

I'm getting ready to battle Fantina (5th gym leader) and here are my main pokemon:

Last spot is generally Pulsar (Luxray) at Lv. 45 for battling in-game, but I often drop him for an HM slave (Gyarados and Bibarel cover everything except Fly and Defog), a younger Poke-in-training for the sake of the Pokedex (like Vespiquen or Mothim), or an Egg. Currently carrying around one of many Combee offspring, for a good nature.

My Diamond game was actually a pre-order and was so slow to be mailed, I rushed to get Pearl from Wal-Mart. No stylus either, bah. I've made very little progress in that game. I'll be restarting it anyway, with Chimchar. Current team is something like this, all levels about or under 10:

Luxray is gone and was replaced by a Pichu, which eventually became Pikachu and will eventually become Raichu once it gets stronger. Gabite evolved, and the four that were already on my team are ~10 levels stronger than before.

I'm training everybody to lvl55 to chalenge the E4. And I will throw in Dialga for the bibarel!

I do highly recommend EV training as well as breeding for natures and stats to get the best possible result. I don't go through all that effort for the course of the game itself, but just to pwn other people.

Team I came up with over the course of Pearl version:

Empoleon (amazing special attack and special defense)
Palkia (overall awesome stats, obviously)
Rapidash (literally the only fire type you can get in the game besides the starter without trading)
Mismagius (excellent special defense and speed)
Luxray (RIDICULOUS attack power)

Intresting...Alright, after my tournament battles (whenever that may be.) I'll work on my teams EV points. Would I have to start over and breed the Dragonite, Tyranitar, Raichu, Skarmory, and Snorlax, raising them up the EV way? Or does it have to do something with those berries that drop EV points?

Still confused on all of it, any pointers?

I don't have a set team yet, really. I plan on getting a whole crapload of potential powerhouses and training all of them up to about lv 65. Then I'll have about a boxful of pokemon to choose from to make the ultimate team >=)
