Right, get ready for techinal details about Stem Cell Research.
Quite true, but they're not really using animals. It's more like they're using the animals as test objects. Today, donated organs and tissues are often used to replace those that are diseased or destroyed. Unfortunately, the number of people needing a transplant far exceeds the number of organs available for transplantation. Pluripotent stem cells offer the possibility of a renewable source of replacement cells and tissues to treat a myriad of diseases, conditions, and disabilities including Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases, spinal cord injury, stroke, burns, heart disease, diabetes, etc.
However, adult stem cells, such as blood-forming stem cells in bone marrow (called hematopoietic stem cells, or HSCs), are currently the only type of stem cell commonly used to treat human diseases. Doctors have been transferring HSCs in bone marrow transplants for over 40 years. HSCs are now used in order to treat leukemia, lymphoma and several inherited blood disorders. However, it will still take a fair bit of research before human embryonic stem cells (hESC) can be used to provide cures and therapies for diseases.

In my opinion, I think humans should stop screwing around with nature. We mess everything up. Everything. Some how, some way, we find a way to destroy whatever was put on this earth. It's stupid, and I think scientists should try and get their priorities straight as some people have mentioned before.
The day pigs fly probably won't be far away, though.

Not really. Humans might have caused a lot of damage, but ongoing research might actually work towards undoing some of that damage. Anyway that's beside the point.
Your post seems to suggest that the scientists should stop these experiments which might disrupt nature's mechanisms of passing on genes. Does that mean we should stand by and do nothing about the huge number of diseases for which cures have not been found? No, it is inevitable that we have to manipulate natural processes in order to achieve greater good for mankind.

I fully agree with Snow. It's true that there is a great deal that may lead people to believe that there is no good in natural research and experimentation, but there is a nearly endless ammount of knowledge that can be gained from this. Don't you ever wonder about anything that could be answered by genious minds that put everything they have into finding these solutions? What if you or someone you love ends up with a disease that could be cured with the intelligence that we have gained from this research? Would you still condemn the sciences then?

Using animals... using animals as test subjects... sounds like the same to me. I never said donors to replace human organs were from animals, nor did I ever think that... lol. Nothing you said disproves what I said but just further explains why the research is being conducted.

I guess I misunderstood what you mean by that sentence then In that case what I said does further explain your statements.

Oh for Christ's sake, read the text on that page. It explains to you just why the entire world knows that that picture is real, and only you think it is fake.

READ THE LINK.
Snopes.com wrote: Many viewers were tempted to write off the above-displayed photograph, distributed by the Associated Press (AP) on 9 January 2006, as a fabrication because it seemed so far outside their realm of experience. However, the congenital abnormality exhibited by this kitten, although not common, has been observed and documented before in a variety of species. Additionally, the AP took significant steps to verify that the photographs of Cyclopes provided by Traci Allen were genuine:
AP regional photo editor Tom Stathis said he took extensive steps to confirm the one-eyed cat was not a hoax. Stathis had Allen ship him the memory card that was in her camera. On the card were a number of pictures
