I have recieved word that the father of one of our members has tragically passed away in a work-related accident. I don't want to name this member in case he/she feels uncomfortable about this, but please show your support for him/her and their family and friends.

I'm so sorry for that someone!!!

My friend had the same experience, now, I barely see him, because, with only the mom there, she is always busy, and if his mother barelys spends free time with him, it's the same for me...

Anyway, that somaone shouldn't loose hope, and if it happened with something related to you, don't blame yourself, God (if you're christian or catholic), is there to watch your every movements, don't loose hope, and try to forget and loose all the stuff, don't cry, or else his spirit will never leave us, and you'll make he's way to paradise, let it go, and please you should calm at all times, do not feel guilty, and leave his soul leave.

All I have to say is that you should not blame yourself, and spend the most time with the other ppl that love you as you did, because you may not now, but another accident may happen anymoment.

~Sicerely BF

PS...If it could be possible to answer this, what kind of job did he have? was it something like the ppl that build stuff?

In a matter such as this, I know there's nothing I can say to make the pain go away immediately. I'm very sorry for your loss, and my best wishes go out to you and your family.

I can't say I can relate. And right now, I don't think the person who had this tragic event happen them doesn't want people to say stuff like "Oh ya, my hamster died of cancer once" o_O;; I hate when people do that...

But aside from that, I really want to wish you the best fo luck in over coming this, and don't try to rush it

For whoever's had to go through this:

I really, truly am sorry. I know there's nothing I can say to help, especially being nothing more than a faceless name to you. I wish that weren't true, but I can't do that. No one deserves to go through that.

Obviously, this is something sudden. I hope you can take comfort in knowing that it wasn't something prolonged. As much as this hurts now, at least know that your father wasn't stuck on a hospital bed for months. Take comfort in knowing that he's gone to a better place than this, away from the pains and sufferings of this world.

I know it doesn't mean much, but I'm so sorry you have to go through something like this. My prayers are with you and your family. Do whatever you must to avoid completely breaking down. Remember, your life will still go on; don't throw it all away in your sorrow. You know your father wouldn't want that.

I have started a thread in my forum, but it would be seen by more if I posted here.

This person means a lot to me, as he helped me, and even our local Boy Scout Troop, very much. He would go on trips with us, donate time and money, and even tried teaching me to juggle. He doesn't derserve this, but apparently his time was up. Why? I wish I knew, but hopefully, that's something we can ask Him Himself, for those of you who believe. He deserved more time than that, than what he had. I can't help but cry. I even bursted out in tears in the middle of class. That's how much he means to me, and we aren't even related. I just hope that he knows now, or even before, that he died with people loving him; and even we do now.

Thank you for the condolences so far, and please pray. If you do not pray, please do think of him. And thank you, who's name I won't mention, who requested to start this. I happen to be crying now as I write. And that's the only way I can let it pass.

So if you, or no somebody that has a job, where freak accidents like this can happen, please, remind them to be careful, do everything step by step. That will lower the chance of another lost life.

Gee, I'm sorry. My friend's dad passed away after a heart attack, so I know a tiny bit about how you're feeling now. Anyway, try to keep yourself occupied so you won't think too much, and slowly but surely you'll be able to overcome this. Be a brave boy/girl, whoever you are. Cheer up :D

I'm really sorry to hear about that. I can only imagine how hard it must be to lose someone that close. Though, if my dad was to die, I wouldn't even care; it's a long story... but I'm probably not helping.

My condolences go out to you.

Who said it was his fault? There are lost of jerks at work sites that may carry his blood on their hands. (Not literally, sort of like, they are at fault)

No, he wasn't saying it was his fault, he was saying be extra careful so this kind of thing probably won't happen.

I know there isn't much to say that can help in a situation like this, but remember that as long as you remember him, whoever you are, then he'll still be with you.

Also anyone who knows this person please make sure that you don't cast yourself out of their life, if you do it'll only make it worse. And the people who were affected by this tragedy should remember to keep your friends close, they can help you through times of trouble.

Maybe you should read more into the accident before you babble on. There is no way it could be anybody else's fault. In a way it was his, he forgot to detach a counter weight while repelling.

I'll come back with the obituary in awhile.

I know the boy and knew his father and both are really great people. I dont think my friend is gonna be on that much for awhile so I thought I would type something about the amazing man his father was.

Ive been to their house quite a few times and Martin, the father, always had a funny or exciting or occasionally gross story to tell. Whether it related to his life, a friends life, or it was something he simply made up, he told it just to put a smile on our faces. He experienced alot from what Ive learned. He has been all over the U.S. He was a director of stage plays, an actor, a lighting designer in theatres, a stage manager, a mime, and a clown. (Truthfully. I saw him performing many times in the park during Safe Summer Fun days.) His act was hysterical. I'm not sure, but he could have been more.

I think just about every one he ever met was instantly in love with him just because he was so friendly and such a life loving person. I know I envied my friend the first day I met his father. He played croquet, football, basketball, baseball, and frisbee with us, he built us fires in the backyard and persevered, even when it took a hundred matches to light. He would bring us pizza and marshmallows and carve roasting sticks with us. He did everything for us, and that was just when his sons friends were over. His son told me that he didnt always like his dad, who does? But I could tell they really loved each other, and always will.

If any of what I have written is incorrect, after I have talked to my friend, I will certainly correct it immediately. Thank you all for showing support towards my friend and his family.

P.S. Truestar, it wasnt his fault at all.

P.S.S. Dark Phantom, if you really know who it is, please PM me so I can be sure that you are sure. I really dont want you to have false information.

Nobody get's it? He wasn't murdered! That is what I'm trying to get to. I don't need people thinking that my best friends father was killed by someone else! Sorry it sounds like I'm blaming him, but there isn't any other way to word it. Death isn't easy, and this person meant so much to me. Related or not, he was important, and still is.

Sorry.

Oh my God.....bad things are happening with our Psypokian fellows....

My dear, his/her father passed away in a work-related accident? I just don't know what to say, I'm feeling so sorry for this person, it makes me so upset hearing this kind of news....

This person is probably going through a hard time by now. But things will certainly be a lot brighter. Life is not always great, tragedy happens and it hits us by surprise. However, this person needs to react and try as hard as he/she can to not be taken down by depression: it makes everything a lot worse.

We have to understand this person's father was probably working to help sustain the family, and unwarningly passed away in a common day of work. Nobody could have avoided it, and no one must feel guilty for the accident.

This person has to be strong and move on. His/her father will be in his/her memory forever, cheering for this person's success, and he will be always there, by this person's side. As all parents, he won't want this person to stop living his/her life, because he only passed away physically, but he'll be always there.

I hope everything starts getting better. My most best wishes for you (whoever you are) and your family.
