POKEMON SNAP WALKTHROUGH
Valley

Starting off on a river again, you'll see some Squirtle shells swimming with the current. In the distance, you'll see a Magikarp, and occasionally a Goldeen, emerge from the water and do some flips. A Mankey stands on the river bank, as some Sandshrew retreat into the ground and some Geodude up some cliffs. Further down, you'll see a Sandslash dive into the ground as two Geodude and a Graveler clamber to safety up a rockface.
As you approach some rapids, there's another Mankey on the left. At the bottom, there are three Graveler clinging to a cliff opposite a large waterfall. You'll also see Staryu floating up above the water as you continue down the rapids. You might catch a glimpse of another Mankey by some trees on the right, before you reach a large whirlpool at the end of the rapids where some Dratini will splash out of the water. Beyond the whirlpool on the right bank, three Squirtle will Withdraw and two will jet off over the hill, past another Mankey. You'll spot the exit portal as you head around the bend, but take note of that red switch before the end of the level.
The Valley's Pokemon Sign is a Dugtrio, which you can see in plain view as you start the course.

In order to progress to the next course, you need to hit the switch near the exit. You'll see three Squirtle just after the whirlpool; they'll all Withdraw into their shells, but two will scoot off. When the Zero-One, the remaining Squirtle and the Mankey at the top of the hill align, throw a Pester Ball at Squirtle and it'll fire off up the hill and hit Mankey. Around the bend, you'll find Mankey standing in front of the switch - hit it with a Pester Ball and you'll activate the alternate path.

Pokemon Details
Squirtle |
At the start of the course, throw some Pester Balls at the Squirtle shells when they get close to the bend in the river. They'll be kicked out of the water and come out of their shells, allowing you to take some photos. Lure the group closer with some Pokemon Food and you'll get the Pose and Same Pokemon bonus.
Magikarp |
You can finally get a good picture of a Magikarp without having to resort to careful timing with your camera. Instead, have careful timing with your Pester Balls. You'll see a Magikarp splashing in the river in front of Mankey, just after the first bend. Hit it with a Pester Ball, and it'll flop straight to Mankey, who will send it flying over the mountain. Continue down the course until you reach the waterfall and the Graveler trio. There you'll see Magikarp, flailing helplessly on land, so take your time with the pictures.
Goldeen |
Again, in the area around the first bend, throw some items into the water. You'll see Magikarp and Dratini pop out, but also Goldeen with splash out above the water. There's no real way of predicting which of the three will appear, so just hope that it's Goldeen. You'll need to be quick with your camera too, because it isn't above water for very long. Just throw and aim immediately, and hope for the best.
Mankey |
There's several Mankey around the course, but they will often be too far away to take good photos. The best one for photographic purposes is near the exit portal. After the whirlpool, you'll see three Squirtle on the bank, two of which will flee when they see you. When you get close enough to the third one, fire a Pester Ball at it, and it will jet up the hill and hit the Mankey at the top. It'll tumble down to a ledge just around the corner, in front of the red switch, so get some close-up shots for good Size points. You can also go for a good Pose bonus by hitting Mankey with a Pester Ball and snapping it in mid-air as it tumbles backwards.
Geodude |
On a cliff just beyond Mankey, you'll see some Geodude scurry up the wall as you approach. Throw Pester Balls at them, and they'll come crashing to the ground where you can take some close-up pictures of them.
Sandshrew |
You'll see Sandshrew burrow into the ground as you approach. Throw Pester Balls at the Geodude, and for each Geodude that crashes to the ground, a Sandshrew will pop out and start wandering around. Make sure you hit the Geodude early so you have lots of time to get a good picture of all three Sandshrew. Again, lure them with some Pokemon Food and snap away for some Pose and Same Pokemon points.
Graveler |
You'll see a lone Graveler on the cliff face, high above the two Geodude, but further on, near the waterfall, there are three Graveler clinging to the rock wall. Play the PokeFlute and watch them dance! Take a good picture and you'll earn the Graveler's Group Dance Special bonus.
Sandslash |
Sandslash will burrow into the ground as you approach it. Hitting the Geodude with Pester Balls won't quite be enough to knock Sandslash out of the ground...but hitting the Geodude will knock that Graveler down. When Graveler hits the ground, it'll throw Sandslash out. Snap a picture of it just as it emerges from the ground for some good Pose points, or toss it some Pokemon Food and it'll jump up and down with delight. This is hard because you're on the move and there isn't a lot of time. You'll need to be quick and accurate with hitting the Geodude, because if you're too slow, they'll quickly clamber back up the rock face.
Gyarados |
As with getting that good picture for Magikarp, knock one out of the water near the beginning of the course and Mankey will smack it over the hill to where the Graveler trio are. Hit that Magikarp with a Pester Ball and it'll flop up the waterfall where it will evolve into a mighty Gyarados. Hit it in the face with a Pester Ball and it'll fire out a jet of water for some extra Pose points.
Staryu |
You'll see a Staryu rise out of the water just after the waterfall. Snap a picture of it, and it will come closer, so take another picture for good Size points. As you head down the rapids, two more Staryu will rise up out of the water as well. Take some photos of them, and they'll come closer and all three will spin around you. Take lots of photos and hopefully one of them will have a good centered Staryu with the other two in the shot as well.
Starmie |
Take a photo of each of the Staryu and they will start to follow the Zero-One down the rapids to the waterfall. They'll get sucked in and evolve into Starmie. Be quick though, they'll fly off quite quickly. Use the Dash Engine to get in front of them and snap a picture with their gems facing you to get a good Pose shot.
Dratini |
Throughout the whole course, there's a chance that a Dratini will pop out of the water if you throw some items in, but if you're finding it hard to predict or can't be bothered, there's a Dratini splashing about by the large whirlpool after the rapids. You might find it hard to get close to it for some Size points though, so if you really want a good picture, you'll have to go for the items approach.
Dragonite |
That whirlpool does have a purpose afterall. As you descend from the rapids, throw some Pester Balls into the whirlpool. It should flash each time you hit it. On the fourth flash, a jet of water erupts from the whirlpool and a Dragonite will appear. Snap it as soon as it's out of the whirlpool, because it'll fly into the air, roar around a bit, then scoot off into the distance.
