POKEMON SNAP WALKTHROUGH
Cave

You'll descend into the Cave as some Zubat fly past the Zero-One. To your left, you'll see two Grimer hiding in the caverns. To your right, a lone Bulbasaur (with an odd-looking face...) plays in the grass. On another ledge further down, there are more Bulbasaur. As you progress, you'll encounter a Koffing who has taken a Jigglypuff hostage. A Weepinbell dances around a shallow pool as you head past a water curtain and deeper into the Cave. In the distance, you'll spot a Zubat holding a Pikachu, as well as two Jynx guarding a large crystalline egg.
The Cave's Pokemon Sign is a Mewtwo. At the Weepinbell pool, turn and face a large sparkling structure. While this looks like nothing at the moment, take a picture of it, and it will develop to show a Mewtwo.

In order to progress to the next course, you must have 40 different kinds of Pokemon in the Pokemon Report.

Zubat |
You'll get quite a few chances to grab a picture of Zubat. Just try to predict their flight path and ready your camera. They don't react to items, so there's not much else you can do apart from try, try and try again.
Grimer |
Take a picture of the first two Grimer. Although they're too far away to get a decent shot, this will trigger the appearance of the third Grimer on the ledge with the three Bulbasaur. This one is much closer, so make the most of it and get some good Size points.
Muk |
After taking pictures of the first two Grimer, a third one will appear. Bombard it with Pester Balls and it will evolve into a Muk. Position your camera carefully and try to go for maximum Pose and Size points.
Bulbasaur |
You can throw apples at the three Bulbasaur to get them to come together for a good group shot, but your best picture would probably have been from the River course. Actually...are these even proper Bulbasaur...?
Ditto |
Throwing a Pester Ball at the Bulbasaur in the Cave reveals their true form - Transformed Ditto! Lure the three Bulbaditto together with Pokemon Food and then toss Pester Balls to transform them. As you hit the third one, take a picture for a good Pose bonus, and hopefully you got the other two in the shot for a good Same Pokemon bonus. This is tricky though, since you're moving quite fast, so throw your items early to make it easier.
Koffing |
Past the Bulbaditto, you'll see a Koffing emerge from behind a water curtain, and with it, its hostage Jigglypuff. Use the Dash Engine to get close, and throw a Pester Ball. Koffing should splutter with some gas - snap a picture quick for good Pose points. Another Koffing should appear from behind with yet another hostage Jigglypuff. Try the same procedure again if you missed the first Koffing. There's a third Koffing if you knock out the first two, but this one is a bit far away to get a good shot.
Jigglypuff |
You can take some pictures of Jigglypuff as its being led around by the Koffing, but in order to get the Jigglypuff Trio on Stage Special bonus, toss Pester Balls at the three Koffing to liberate the three Jigglypuff. They'll float off happily into the distance. Near the end of the course, look to your right at a purple area and you'll see your three balloons, singing and floating about, so make sure you snap all three in one picture. If you only manage to save one or two of the Jigglypuff, you can still get a bonus, but obviously it won't be as much as the trio Special.
Magikarp |
Same situation again, toss some items into the pools and a Magikarp will flop out. Hooray.
Weepinbell |
You'll find it circling a pool just after you encounter Koffing and Jigglypuff. Because its path is predictable, use the Dash Engine to position yourself close to Weepinbell and as it comes around, snap a picture when it faces you for good Size and Pose points.
Victreebel |
Position yourself so that Weepinbell is between you and the pool it is circling, then throw a Pester Ball and it'll fall into the water and evolve into a Victreebel. Take lots of pictures as you move past Victreebel and into the water curtain, and hopefully one of them will be good enough.
Pikachu |
You'll see Pikachu in the distance as you approach Weepinbell, but a Zubat will come and snatch it away. Using your awesome aiming skills, bombard the Zubat with Pester Balls and hopefully one of them will hit. Zubat will drop Pikachu, and Pikachu will deploy a several safety balloons before floating to the ground - take a picture of Pikachu with the balloons to get the Balloon Pikachu Special bonus.
Once Pikachu reaches the ground, it'll run over to the giant crystalline egg. Play the PokeFlute, and the Jynx nearby will sing and dance, causing Articuno to emerge. As you pass the Jigglypuff stage, look back and you'll see Pikachu riding on Articuno - take a picture (make sure it's of Pikachu and not of Articuno) to get the Flying Pikachu Special bonus. This has the potential to be the best picture of Pikachu you'll ever get in this game.
Jynx |
As you approach the two Jynx by the egg, play the PokeFlute and they'll start singing and dancing. Switch to the third PokeFlute song to get the most Pose points. It's kinda difficult to get a picture of their face, so as you pass the first one, look back and take a picture.
Articuno |
Play the PokeFlute by the two Jynx, and they will summon Articuno from the egg. Position your camera slightly above the platform where the egg stood and as the egg breaks open, snap a picture of Articuno as it sparkles.
