POKEMON RANGER

Pokemon Ranger is one of the first Pokemon games to hit the DS, and it takes as much advantage of the touch screen as it can. In the game's new region, Fiore, Rangers keep the peace by resolving problems with Pokemon and releasing them back into their natural habitats. Pokemon Ranger introduces a number of new things to the Pokemon world, and they are all important parts of gameplay.

One of the most publicized and unique changes is the new system for capturing Pokemon, and in this subject, the Styler and Poke Assists are also introduced. Read more about this in the respective site section.

Ranger's dex system is quite unique and does not have any connections to the National Dex system. Also, this dex is called the Browser in Pokemon Ranger. The Pokemon available in Fiore are a mixture of Pokemon from the Kanto, Johto and Hoenn regions. In total, there are 213 available Pokemon.

The main storyline of this game centers around you, a new prospect to become a Ranger for Ringtown. As you can imagine, you do become a Ranger in time and work up in the ranks by completing mission after mission. The bad guys are known as the Go-Rock Squad, and they have a special interest for stealing the prototype Super Styler of Professor Hastings and also have their sights on some legendary Pokemon.
